  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I figured out the knife Ponzi scheme....

Top: Knife for cutting boxes and anything with metal in or near it like staples or wires that could damage a blade.

Bottom: Knife for cutting everything else.

Oh lol. You were sounding like me for a minute that you basically needed to find reasons to use your Knife. I always imagine in a rural setting there would be more stuff to cut.
Actually on a day-to-day basis I probably don't find any more to cut than someone in a city would. I'd like to get into whittling though when the weather gets nicer and I can sit outside.

Reminds me of a couple of weeks ago when my wife asked me if I had a knife on me (she already knew the answer) to cut the plastic stem a bit shorter on a fake flower...

After fighting with it and sawing it a bit... I realized there was a wire core in it...

There goes that fine edge! Had to re hit it with the 6000 belt on the work sharp and re-strop.

Pfew - felt better after that!
