I finally got myself a CPM D2 Military

I just snagged it off the Bay buy it now. Unfortunately it didn't come with a box but the knife is new and the seller posted a picture of the blade alignement as well. It looks centered and new so I'm happy!

I sent Spyderco a request to see if thay have any divorced Military D2 boxes laying around just in case.


Regardless, I finally got one. That was the last piece in the Military ensemble that I wanted.

Congrats Reeek, I also got my D2 Mili from the bay last year and I love it. So, have fun and enjoy your green Mili, it's a beauty!!

I almost bought that knife this morning!
I even noticed the question about the blade being centered.
I'm sure if I'd noticed it had no box I wouldn't have anyway, but I thought about it.:confused:
If I didn't have two already I'd of thought harder!
 
I see it was mistakenly shown with the box, then he re-listed it without the box and you got it cheaper.
You still got a great deal being he put it back at a discount.:thumbup:
 
Congrats, you will like it a lot. I really like my CPM D2 a lot, it gets.very sharp and holds it's edge very well. The Military's other attributes go without saying.

How much did the seller drop the price for the missing box?

I missed the listing beforehand . . .

Thanks, everyone! I figure $145 shipped is not too much more than the original street prices when the knife was still in production. $20-$25 with the shipping maybe?

It was 159.99 when he thought he had the box.
I got my first from NG for about 127 shipped.
Then I traded a bit more than that in B/M's for the second.
 
Spyderco is sending me a brand new generic box for the new Millie - I'll gladly take it :)

They were actually really cheap when you could get them new. I think I paid $108 + shipping. IIRC they were the same price as the regular Military at the time. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a second one. Mine gets alot of pocket time and is one of my favorite folders for sure! Congrats on that find!

Thanks! I'm quite happy. I would have paid more just to get it so I lucked out on this one, timing-wise.
 
The D2 Millie was my hardest knife to get.

After paying top dollars for one in eBay, customs held the package requiring a police inspection due to it being a "weapon"...

FOUR months went by wrestling with bureaucracy, and I had almost given up...

Then I found a seller with a used one in a forum, and bought it!

Two days later, customs cleared my knife (the first one) and it was delivered. The second one will be coming in another way. So now I have two AND I AIN'T LETTIN' THEM GO!

Love this knife.

But, I must admit, the first thing I did when I got my grubby paws on the brand new D2 Millie was strip the clip down to bare metal, using sandpaper. Hate the looks of FG handles, shinny blade and black clip, and I had done the same thing to my FG D2 Para.
