I was a little scared when you said Skunk and Boned![]()
I may have a disorder. Now that I've started boning, I can't seem to stop.

Well your boning is definately getting better, your wife should be happy tonight:thumbup:
I haven't boned it yet, I have been very busy.Hogwash, are you out there? If so are you gonna Bone Sherri's stuff ???
I'm finding that if you bone long enough, you can enter a Zen-like "bone zone" state, and everything just makes perfect sense.

I know how I'm going to bone it, I found a pen that doesn't write but it's round so it won't cut the surface and small enough to get a good amount of detail.
Skunk boned my first one but it was dyed so the water didn't soak in so well and I had to put my knife in it and pack it up before it was 100% dry, it isn't as tight as I would like. My second is not dyed so it should work better but I have been busy and put it off. When I do get around to it, if it works well I'll try to re-do the first.
Do you find that the older stuff bones better than the newer or is that on a case by case basis....
The new stuff does seem to use more energy![]()
It really does depend. Sometimes the older stuff has a lot more gusto than you expect and the boning really involves some physical effort.
Can you get carpal tunnel from boning?
Yes and sometimes the old stuff just doesn't seem to get wet enough... and that can wear on your tool.:grumpy:
.
The newer stuff is thicker and more rigid so you really have to bone em hard.
