I finally understand that anything can be a reason to get a knife

Hello everyone
My name is Tin Foil Hat Timmy and I like knives.

Eh? It's ALWAYS time.

Say it to my wife 🤣

Point taken.
If I got enough money in the toy fund, it's time.

Wife and I agreed that a certain (small) percentage of my net pay goes into my toy fund. She doesn't care what toys I buy, as long as I draw money from the toy fund and not the general account.

As long as it doesn’t cause a problem paying the bills, and you have talked it out with your significant other, then you are ok. Have a limit in that fund, and stick to it. Now my wandering begins. If the herd is too big, the hard part is thinning the herd to reduce the size before it goes too large, or you can sell off some to finance another purchase. The get rid of two before you get another rule sometimes works, but it is hard, plus I try to go back and look at older ones to rediscover the joy and reasons why I got them before I buy another for the same reasons. I try to make sure I am not buying just because I want something new and the thrill of a coming package. The thrill of the chase is more exciting than the final delivery at times, then I ask myself why did I really buy it if I am a little disappointed with it? Sorry, no problem buying just for fun, but it does make me wonder if I will get more fun out of using and experimenting with the ones I already have.

I'm sure glad because of that 😊
I do get some satisfaction knowing that I have made others happy with the ones I have sold or traded, I have had a some good trades and more than happy with what I have received in turn. I would like to hear from some of those how they have used or enjoyed them.

I got an XL Vaquero Voyager.

I won't really carry it for EDC.
For anything that requires a blade of such size - I have a fixed blade.
I won't use it for tasks that you usually use a folder for either.
I most likely won't use it at work, garden or forest... or maybe at all.

So, why do I have it?.... - it just puts smile on my face.

I don't know why, but I just love this knife. It made me smile first time I picked it up, and even now it still does that.
I guess sometimes the purpose of owning something is just because it makes you happy.

While that knife is just not my cup of tea . . .a man (any man) doesn't need a reason (any reason) to want another knife.
