I gave up trying

In my quest to find a folder to kick the Sebenza 21 Lg out of my pocket, I tried some very nice all Ti models. None of them bested the feel of the old Sebenza. So, I sold, and am selling the lesser knives on the exchange.

So, to keep the old Sebenza company, I've been buying a few CRK folders. I'm up to 5 now. I'm really anticipating the arrival of the Lg Sebenza Insingo.

Scoring the small, sterile, 21 last night was just way too tempting.

Probably more to come.

I am almost almost there. Had about 25 Spydies and sold off all but a couple, had a dozen ZT’s and sold off all but one, and the same with other brands. But, I am really wanting to scratch a Hinderer itch. My biggest decision right now is is either a Hinderer MP-1 or an inkosi. I only got funds for one right now. I may get the Hinderer and if don’t like it, sell it and pick up a CRK and never look back I think.

Similar situation here. Up to my 10th CRK, and while not my most carried knives because of price (opting for cheaper knives for hard use), they are easily in the top of my favorites.

Only one thing can kick the Sebenza outta my pocket, another Sebenza. I'm really gettin' into the discontinued 25. The 21s are more refined and even the Large 21 feels like a street racer but the 25 feels like a Muscle car in comparison. I wanna thanks the folks here for startin' me on the Sebenza journey, Tradin' for my first small plain Jane 21 on up through the recently received 25. I love the heft, reminds me of the weight of my Buck Ti 186, It's a knife that feels like a knife. Keep on the righteous road and just get more Sebenzas. :)

Not wanting to let my other knives get covered in dust bunnies nor never see the light of day, a while back I decided to start carrying two knives.
I always carry a CRK and one of the many others that has gotten me this deep in the rabbit hole.

Sebenza's the only knife I'd replace immediately if I lost it. I can't imagine bein' without since the first, thanks ;).

This one is coming up on a year of almost every day

You have made a terrific realization. Me and my wallet are slightly jealous of people who have settled down with one (type of) knife. I'm still all over the map. Although it looks like you're now acquiring a few more CRKs. I prefer the Wilson Combat Star-Tac over the large 21, but end up carrying the small 21 more due to where I live and also sits lower in the pocket of my work pants.

You need to try an Inkosi. If the 25 is a muscle car then the Inkosi must be an SUV. Just be aware that the small inkosis are actually smaller than the small 21s. Putting my large inkosi next to my large 21 they seem to be the same size, only the inkosi is thicker, noticeably so. However in your pocket it doesn't feel much different than the large 21.

I find this topic so interesting, as I am kind of in the same boat. I own 2 knives, a large and a small Sebenza 21. I would like to try something else, but all of the other titanium frame locks seem like flashes in the pan (at best), or imitations (at worst).

I continue to toy with the idea of a Griptillian Or 940, but I think I will be spinning my wheels on a lesser product than what I already own.

I find myself hunting the internet for a knife of high quailty, with US service support, original design, and staying power, but I am not sure if there is anything that exists to bounce the Sebenza from the top of the heap. As a kicker, I need/want it to stay clear of any tactical delusions.

Perhaps an Insingo is in my future as well.

Have you tried the Umnumzaan? Probably better that you don't as it kicks everything out of my pocket.

The only reason I've been carrying others recently is cuz my scales are still away waiting for OD Green cerakote. When I get it back together it's game over for the rest of my collection.

I said to myself just one more to complete my CRK wish/want list. Well they keep multiplying and yes I have been browsing dealers, websites and so on and still cannot find a folder to kick them out of my hands.

Looking for folders with similar blade thickness (best 0.10 to 0.14 inches), blade to handle ratio, ease of maintenance, width of blade/handle is just perfect to me. I suspect that may be the reason why there has been minimal change in the Sebenza and still going strong.

Now if only I can find a LDC or a PJ with a swedge I would be exstatic.

Have you tried the Spyderco Slysz Bowie or the Grayman Dua?

The Grayman has the same bushing system as the Sebenzas

The Slysz I just find boring for some unexplainable reason.

I don't want to hijack this thread but I am actually curious about the opinion of other sebenzas owener think about the Slysz and Dua in comparison to the Sebenza?

How about Michael Raymond Estrella or Scoot Cook Lochsa also use same bushing as the Sebenza. As far as I heard Scott Cook used to be a machinist back in the 90’s for Chris Reeve.

Originally my carries were a Mnandi in the office, then a small or large 21 at home depending on what was going on. Then I bought an used early (small - there were no larges then) Inkosi to try, knowing it would be a catch and release. Low and behold, I love my small Inkosi. Right now it is my small Regular or my Inkosi, depending on what is going on....

Yes but those are customs with prices in the stratosphere.

Have you looked at or ever handled a Grayman Dua? For the price they are quite impressive.

Ineed prices are def out there. As far as the Dua its a bit chubby, heavy and thick from what I can tell. Unfortunately not my cup of tea.
