Sometimes I hear complaints or criticisms as I release little ideas, and they stick with me. This is the case with these pinouts. The very first comments were negative, so I just totaly dropped it. Came across the pic just now and I wanted to post the pics.

This was the first one. It had disapearing pins that swirled down the hole the Bullseye went through.

I really like the last picture with the disappearing swirl, I like it because you can see the swirl slowly disappear, whereas the first 2 are kind of all then none. But I think it's a cool idea, especially when you lead with a mosaic, just adds more character to it.

Yea. Thats how I intended to have it work each time. Its sketchy, and missing by a few thousandths with a 7/16" bit is an easy thing to do.

The disappearing pins on the maroon linen is very nice. I like pins. Lines and geometries probably a bit more and probably easier to lay out...maybe.

What do you mean. There are several pics of knives with pins around the bullseye. They are actually disappearing into the bullseye.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the trailing and the disappearing pins.
I'll be the first one to pick it up, especially in burlap. :)

I was just suggesting/ideas about different pinout options having pins around the bulleyes without disappearing, I guess you could say like the sun!
Sorry for the confusion.

I get it now. And it would seem good. But it would show off errors in the process very easily...

One of the things I like about your knives is that you take something practical and infuse a touch of art/beauty into it. The way I see it, using a simple pin in an artistic way is a furtherance of what you already do.

I really dig it and would love to see more of it.

I looked for those pics for a long time my friend.

Hi Andy,

I have always admired the artsiness of the first one. I would buy one like that. While I appreciate the skill involved in doing the disappearing pins into the hole, the theme makes me think too much of a toilet bowl. That is not what I want to think of when I pick up one of your masterpieces.

Another theme idea that may work is an arrow going into the bullseye. The forum software will not let me enter exactly what I am talking about, but here is the general idea. The middle row should be shifted to the right to simulate arrow fletching and I would add two more offset at the front to simulate an arrow head.

. .
. . . . . . O
. .

The other thing that I would really like to see more of are the white pins. They look striking with the darker handle materials.

It is nice to see you post your ideas and ask for feedback. You and the crew continue to impress with the ways you find to step it up every week.

Thanks and best regards,

Phil
