I guess I got carried away this month.

Hmmm this looks like an good enough spot to say hello. Hello!

I thought I had lost my best buddy of 8 years, Orange S30V RSK MK1, to sticky fingers or the deep snow. It was my only knife. Long story short, I found that knife in a shoebox but not before ending up with a mix of spiders and butterflies for total of  36 in Feb. I'm not insane, there are many multiples that will end up on the Exchange soon...maybe.

Well I received my rainmaker today and I'm not impressed. Blade was off center and further inspection showed blade is not even straight. The acid rain holes looked unfinished. The tip of the knife had a noticeable rollovered burr. I packaged it back up and its going back to smokey mountain knife works for a full refund. Cant believe I'm saying this about an olamic product. The 247 I had was absolutely perfect. To have a blade that's not even straight is unacceptable on a $750 knife. May have a custom 247 made for me or buy a CKF decepticon instead.

Have you hit the new low, know as "pre-orders" yet?

I pre-ordered a Winker belt knife with a dealer back in November that just came in, and last week a Spartan SHF for June delivery...

I bought a Spyderco s90v native chief Friday :(

I’m only half kidding when I say maybe you should talk to someone... I’m sure there have been many people throughout history that actually suffered some negative consequences from their propensity to collect knives. If that happens to be anyone reading this thread, realize that with some professional help you can get better.

To get started, if you like, you can send me those dastardly knives that have been making your life so difficult. ;)

I already blew through my budget. Small CGG Sebenza 21, Native Chief S90v sprint and a Rockstead. My wife says to let it cool for quite some time. I can say I’m in agreement.

It will be interesting to see what comes of the CPM MagnaCut. I’m going to want a Spyderco Military and Native 5 in that new steel. I’m guessing it may be next year for those to show up.

At this point I truly might need professional help lol.

For me personally, I’m most definitely addicted to receiving mail. Yup. That explains the beads, knives, flashlights, sheaths, and other randoms stuff. ;)
100% legit. If someone sends me a note in the mail...I’m stoked. Haha. Weird, I know.

If they offer that in a carbon fiber version I'm in serious trouble :(

Blue CF spydie Domino also in bound now lol. USPS hasn't delivered a single one of my spydies yet though

Don't burn yourself out. I've been going a little to hard and fast for too long and its taken away some of the spark of the hobby. Don't kid yourself this becomes blatant materialism if you are not careful. Try to slow yourself down to prolong your enjoyment. Work to enjoy every moment. Good luck!

Of the ones you got reciently which are your favorites and why? I have two different emersons on the way that I'm anticipating heavily. Ones a mini cqc8 in satin and the other is a mini roadhouse poboy. Hopefully the qc is good enough for me!

This is totally me the past couple of weeks. Took 2 years off from buying and trying out new knives but it seems I'm back with a vengeance. To slow myself down I think I'm going to work on improving my flat stone sharpening skill.
