I had my Southard for 5 minutes, and this happened... **update #2**

Quick Update: I've sent the knife to Spyderco for repair. I'd rather not attempt to fix the problem myself and damage this beautiful knife.

When I opened the knife, it made a rattling sound. I found out that the pocket clip was a little loose; so I took off the pocket clip and bent it a little. I went to go put it back on and the screw head popped off. Without any effort, it just broke. It's a great little knife though, too bad I can't carry it for a long time now.

I'm p****** off.

j/k man, cheer up, it'll be good as new and then some.

A couple of years ago I had problem with the screws on a very old 440v mil.
The lady I talked to said she would look around and a week later new screws arrived,
overseas,no charge. I have since bought maybe 20 new spydercos..........

I'll give them a call. If the knife was lost in the mail when they sent it back to me, will they cover it or am I SOL?

Update (May 1st): I called them, and they said that they shipped it out on the 29th of April. I should be getting it within the next few days.

I had this same problem with my protech screws cheap Ass metal they don't make skrew removers small enough.I was able to clamp down knife and remove with needle nose .drilling is to risky unless you wave a press.then you need a verry small drill bit drill foreward and get a reverce drill bit and pull out you still need a new screws.I left spydrrco a message the other day and they got right back to me.the metrick system is the probe with overseas work.spyderco has good very good service. You
W should have sent the extra dollar for tracking.protech has the best all around then zt and spyder close behind.I hope you get knife soon.and to all you people with loose skrews buy some locktight the blue non permanent.never lose a skrew again and you dont have to over wrenchem.
