So I was perfectly happy with my gerber torch II. I got curious about knives and came here. I learned alot about different steels, different brand, different materials and blade shapes. Sure enough one month later I now have a paramilitary 2 and I now know what all the fuss is about. Not only is it able to handle all my everyday tasks but I was cutting plywood with a buddy of mine and he was using a circular saw so he had trouble getting a corner clean cut. I whipped out my pocket knife and just cut through the excess material to make the inside corner clean. He just looks and me and finally says, "I didn't know pocket knives could do that." So yeah now that I have a good knife I'm sure it won't be my last. (Proof of this is I already have another one on pre-order) So I'm choosing to blame all of you for what I'm sure will be a very slim wallet in my future. :p

I feel you. I hate all of them too. Ever since I've come here, I've been trying to split out all my money to all these new blades I want. I've even considered selling a couple of my firearms to fund new purchases for knives. :(

I warn people all the time not to come here. This place is awesome but it's going to take all of your money.

You started off with a more expensive knife than most people do. Looks like you'll be burning up cash pretty quickly...

i have been into knives sice i was very young but untill a few years ago i was more than happy with cheap walmart knives.... then i started watching knife vids on youtube and it all started..... and today i just happened to see a knife that i love in one of those edc threads, guess what im getting next pay check

Well we hate you too - that's why we lure members in to share our addiction and subsequent misery and poverty. The trick is to buy investment blades. Knives that don't lose much value.

Ya get a couple of cutters like your Para or a Military (my choice) or a BM710, CS American Lawman or Recon-1 etc, for EDC scratching up and then start loading up on the good stuff like Sebenzas, XM-18's, Striders.

Then when you need some cash you can roll one over, recoupe your cash and score another one when you get some extra cash again.

Don't get trigger happy on every and any old knife - that'd be my advice. :)

Another advice, say to yourself that you don't need duplicates. I've set it as a rule for myself and that saved me a bundle :)

From cheap CRKT folders to 400-600 buck customs within a space of a few years, I'd expect you'll go the same route :)

That's what happens around here, stay around a little longer and you'll have some more fun

I've even considered selling a couple of my firearms to fund new purchases for knives. :(

I did sell a couple of my guns a couple years ago.....it's been a slippery slope ever since. Impossible to stop the addiction.
