I hate all of you.

I feel you. I hate all of them too. Ever since I've come here, I've been trying to split out all my money to all these new blades I want. I've even considered selling a couple of my firearms to fund new purchases for knives. :(

Lusting for sharp pointed objects must be written in our genetic code from caveman days, whereas guns are much much more recent in history. Who'd sell his pistol to buy a knife? Not me.

I have to admit though, my gun buying days have stopped except for needing a long range, high power rifle. I have all of my bases covered except I want to purchase what we called the M-14 in the USMC back in the 60's. I don't know what they call it now but they still compete with them at Camp Perry which is just down the road from me. I've seen some beautiful rifles and handguns by just walking around and starting conversations with bored competitors.

Now go order a Victorinox Soldier (or whichever model has the tools you would use). Not because you need one (though you probably do), but because it's a good learning experience.
A good SAK is right at home beside the finest custom knife with the best fit and finish the knife world has to offer. (Quality is not always expensive.)

Heh funny you should say that. My folks just brought my back a vic climber that they picked up for me on their trip to Sweden so I already have that covered :)

Wait until you learn about the awesome world of sharpening stones... it can be more consuming than knives (unless you're fancy and buy alot of high dollar or customs) :)

it's too late i already bought a 250 grit 1000 grit and the sharpening system from razor's edge.

Which i'm happy with but don't love. I kinda want a sharpmaker now.
