I Hate Southern California

Is that a Lincoln town car I see in that shore line photo? Is that yours? Pro touring, gotta love cruisin in style, roomy classic style.

Hence the name,
Protourist.

It is all very clear to me now....:D

I love the classics. My son Killian shocked me one day being 11 yrs. old said when he saw a late '60's american made muscle car genre, forgot if it was a mustang or a camaro, he said, "You gotta respect the classics." I am not sure where he got that from, but it kind of blew me a way. He may end up being as nostalgic as I am

The problem is, when I go to SoCal to visit my folks in it I get plenty of "you're really trying to conserve gas aren't you" comments from the locals.:thumbdn:

You're son is right, perhaps you should send him up here, we can use more smart people.:D

You know Protourist, I am not sure how I would respond to anyone telling me what to drive, or commenting about what I drive in America. I want to print out that motivation poster about Nothing speaks of environmentalism like a trunk full of Nikel Metal Hydride batteries. People really need to get a grip, wake up and think!. You should ask them sarcastically if you should send your car to the dump and take up land fill space, so you can buy a new car, one that during manufacturing has burned up a google amount of carbon units, credits, cookies, whatever. Tell them you are conserving precious resources by driving an old car!,,.... A well made car! I would ask them if they knew how really dumb they sound when they ask you that.

I'll have to remember this.

If you find yourself on the 405 in Culver City, and fancy a good pastrami, the word is Johnny's.

Johnny's is great, but next time I go down to visit friends I'm stopping by The Hat. Excellent pastrami combined with their chili cheese fries combine for a wonderful, heart attack inducing experience.

Southern California is great, you got the sun, snow, stars and the http://www.stuffedsandwich.com/ which serves one of the best selection of brews anywhere, along with surf and gorgeous sunsets, what more could you ask for?

As an expatriate* of the PRK, all I can say is that Southern California would be great if it wasn't in...............California. :p

*Born and raised in LA. Lived in Goleta for 28 years. Moved to AZ 5 years ago. 2nd smartest thing I ever did.:D

How about Tito's Tacos, around the corner from Johnny's?

The Hat is just awesome. Great sandwiches and burgers too.

The Hat does make good pastramis, I bring the rolaids, but it is well worth it. I just ate there this last week at Simi Valley location. Took the kids, and they asked why went to McDonalds when we could eat there?
