I seem to be stuck in limbo. By some fluke I am currently waiting on...

American Tomahawk Brend Hatchet in DiamondSteel: probably 4-6 weeks for a new run
Günter Böhlke custom: on schedule for August
Camillus Aftermath: release delayed from May but due any day...
Camillus Dominator: release delayed from May but due any day...
2 Newt Livesay TIT variants in titanium: delayed from last September, but always seem to be just a week or two from shipping. Newt seems like a genuinely nice guy, but it is frustrating. :(
Mid-Tech Rob Simonich Bitteroot in Talonite: probably 2-3 weeks

I hate delayed gratification! :)

Yeap, I am with you on this one. I only have one out. But my patience are wearing thin

I'm waiting on one. Depending on the knife, sometimes it's hell.

:D YEAP!! I called today to get a definite total and try to get some more info on arrival time. Got the same answer I did two weeks ago. "I am guessing a couple weeks" I know it’s to be expected, but patience is not one of the virtues I am overflowing with when I am jonsing for steel

Hehe, I know exactly what you mean. I'm currently waiting for my first, a small LH classic. It will be another week or two (maybe 3  ) before I get it, I don't know if I can make it...........

There's really no point to this post, I just didn't want to sit at 199 anymore :D See how bad my patience is? :D

i've been waiting for a microtech halo 2 and a benchmade 42SS.
both were supposed to arrive today, well i got the microtech( :) )
but i received another email saying the benchmade is still delayed.
WTF! i ordered that a month ago!c'mon EDC!!!

A few weeks or months. That does not even register on some waiting scales :D.
I will be picking up some stuff at Blade which has been in the works for 3 to 4 years :).

I'm with Gus on this one. Those waiting periods are nothing compared to some I have had. I once waited over 5 years for a long slim trapper from Don Hanson III(but it was well worth the wait).

I think I'm going to pick up a Extrema Ratio today. The good thing is, all I have to do is drive to Frank's shop, pay him, and take it home. Instant gratification - don't get that too much. :D

I've also been waiting on the CRKT Corkum First Strike to come out. At first, I was just excited about a new CRKT user, now it's getting frustrating because it's been forever.

I'm currently waiting for a BM31 and a SS Spyderco Delica to come in from a trade with another forumite.

The wait is definately the hardest part.

When I order my toys and I have to wait, it's plays on my nerves. But like they say; that which does not kill you, makes you stronger. If I was a real madman, I would opt for overnight delivery and pay the premium, but I havent reached that level of insanity yet.

I have no problem waiting. You get used to it when you order knives from makers. Hell, I once sent a knife off for repair and was told it would be on its way back within two weeks, it took five months. I lived.

The time I start to get antsy is when the knife is on its way to me. The possibility that it could be lost in shipping always gets me nervous. Hasn't happened yet; knock on wood.

I once sent a small fixed blade back to a very famous bladesmith for a quick touch up. There was a small spot, bordering on becoming a pit on the swedge. Nothing major, but it would not rub out with Flitz. The deal was, I send the knife back along with $30, and it gets refurbed back to new condition. Ok, off it went. 8 months later, I get a package in the mail COD! It cost me another $11 to receive that package. Patience and understanding are needed in this custom knife collecting hobby.

Hey Bob, Günter makes awesome knives! I currently have my second custom from him on order.

If you can't stand waitin for a knife, order an inexpensive knife to shorten the wait: like a CRKT fixed Falcon or maybe a Meyerco.

I've been waiting to win the PowerBall Lottery so I can buy a few more knives, but it looks like I just have to keep on waiting.:D.

Hey Bob...

Your forgetting your also waiting for 2 Jester rigs and 2 ARC rigs...:)

BTW..

The Bitteroots delay,, may be because of me....

A pile of them just arrived in Billings,, so hang on,,it will be on its way soon...

ttyle

Eric...
