Probably better to deal with idiots at work than know-it -alls on knife websites.

like I said....Buck did not make your push button knife....someone modified a Buck 110 into a push button auto.....and Buck does not warranty aftermarket mangling & modifications....send it back to the individual that performed the modifications...don't cry here, we all know Buck Knives

Scott,

Put that fool on your ignore list. Look at his info, he has been a member of BF for 2 days has 18 posts. Most with the same WTF behavior. No doubt in my mind he is a returning banned member, or a soon to be banned member.

Keep it on topic please guys ;) just because one of the people in this thread is an idiot doesn't mean we all have to get blind sided.
Buck recieved it 3/1/10 I'm guessing I should recieve by 3/14?

Thanks for clearing that up,I guess what you are saying is I am an idiot for buying a 110 buck and sending it in for warranty after owning it for 30 years.

you my friend will be the one being banned for flamming others.

Actually, yes they did, someone else modified it,and in case you didn't know some world renowned knifebuilders visit this site.Your ethnocentric attitude fails and you will be the pos that gets banned.

It is on topic,I said that I sent in my 110 for warranty repair, and I plan on leaving feedback when it returns from service.I did not expect a bunch of
Buck shills to jump on me.Sorry for not bearing false witness.
If this site is any indication Buck is a less than holy institution.
Keep us posted on the status of your repair and ignore the shills trying to derail your post because they think they own the website.

fool?,i have never flammed you, welcome to the banned member list.\

Trolling and responses cut out of "How is the warranty process?" and made into this thread.

Werner,
I'm coming late to this but want to be clear on the subject at hand.
Was it an auto conversion which you sent to Buck?

From the Buck Website:

"REPAIRS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

If your knife needs to be repaired, please send it to us for evaluation. Don't try to repair it yourself. Self-repair will void your warranty, not to mention that it could cause self-injury.
Reasons why we may charge you a small fee for a repair:

* Damage caused by misuse or abuse.
* Failure to care, clean and maintain your knife.
* Damage due to self-repair.
* Knife loss due to shipping to and from the Buck Knives factory.
* Damage due to dismantling or tampering with your Buck knife.
* Sharpening your Buck knife on a grinder."

The auto-conversion sounds like tampering to me.

I don't understand how this was ethnocentric. I agree with Scott's assessment that you need to return the knife to the person who did the modifications for repair.
