I have a 110 I sent in.

my 110 is defective because the spring and switch are missing,
also helen forgot to drill the catch in the blade.

I guess what you are saying is I am an idiot for buying a 110 buck and sending it in for warranty after owning it for 30 years.

Whoa. I don't know, maybe the spring and switch that somebody added to your knife went missing recently, and maybe you thought Buck might have something to do with that, but why did it take you 30 years to notice "helen forgot to drill the catch in the blade"?

It is on topic,I said that I sent in my 110 for warranty repair, and I plan on leaving feedback when it returns from service.I did not expect a bunch of
Buck shills to jump on me.Sorry for not bearing false witness.
If this site is any indication Buck is a less than holy institution.
Keep us posted on the status of your repair and ignore the shills trying to derail your post because they think they own the website.

Werner,

Anyone who starts his thread with WTF and goes on to impugn the people at the Buck plant should expect the type of responses you have received. You are incorrect in the warrantabiltiy of the knife, you are incorrect in your vocabulary, you are incorrect in your prophesy of the banned list and lastly if you think that we are interested in you ranting "opinions" your are extremely incorrect. Concerning holiness, I am certainly far from it, to my shame, but one thing I have learned is not to "cast pearls before swine"...Welcome to my ignore list:)

You're saying you've owned that knife for 30 years? Really? Tell us how the tang stamp reads.

I'd like to know that myself. It always amazes me how many times someones 30 year old "heirloom" turns out to have actually been made only 10 years ago. ;)

Exactly!!! Difficult as it is to do, the best thing to do with trolls such as this is simply to ignore them and they quickly go away when they find that they get no replies to response to.

Then again, maybe this guy actually does think Buck will fix his modified knife.

Seems to me that decision rests with Buck. It's his right to send it back and find out for himself.

Personally, I'll be looking forward to his update to see how it all turned out.

:)

I kinda suspect this person has been banned already.

Good Job moderators!

Not yet. I gave Esav a heads up about this guy and he already has a nice yellow chicklet for his collection... He won't be around long.

At least I got my answer for my question :(.
Dang thread Hijackers.

Yeah a simple legitimate question got us way in a different direction didnt it? funny how that works every once in a while. I look forward to hearing how it works out. My Vantage isnt centered and has got to the point where I had to take the pivot screw out and re-locktite it when retorquing to center it more but still off center. If I tighten it more to center it, the travel will be too stiff and the choil will be usless as a flipper. I may end up sending mine back...we'll see.

I don't understand how this was ethnocentric. I agree with Scott's assessment that you need to return the knife to the person who did the modifications for repair.

Where did I ever say my knife had mods?A factory stock 110 was sent in for repair.I have seen modded auto 110's @ shows and all the workmanship was of outstanding quality,so don't go flaming skilled knifemakers.
I was simply making fun of where in the warranty is says to tell them what's wrong with the knife.
I think anyone is the knife making business might want to think of getting in a different line of work if someone sends in a defective knife and they can't see with their own eyes what's wrong with it.

My brain hurts from trying to follow his logic or should I say his lack of logic.

Well, Werner......your posts were garbled up and your pic was apparently of the wrong knife, so you have only yourself to blame for any confusion.

You need to communicate a lot more clearly.

;)

I really can't see that them asking you to describe the problem is unreasonable, so.......sorry, can't give you any sympathy, buddy.

My picture of an auto knife was in reply to someone that said buck knives do not have springs, switches or catches.

Actually I blame the mod that twisted this tread out off context and started a new one,but i guess at least I know a few people add to my ignore list.

But it seems you are so bent on your trolling that you would not be happy unless you got your 2 cents in no mater how worthless your comments might be.

(note to mod, please delete this entire thread,it is a waste of bandwidth)
