Ok

Here's the deal. I have these two cameras for trade.

I know nothing about cameras...like nothing...so I will take detailed photos of each on demand and I insist on an inspection period if we do make a deal.

k? k.

The T70 works fine as far as I can tell. I put batteries in it and it sparked right up. It has a lens that reads Canon lens fd 28mm 1:2 SCC No lens cover or case.

AE-1? I don't even know how to work this thing...:o If you are interested in this one maybe you can tell me what to do to check it.. Has a lens that reads Canon Lens FD 135mm 1:35. No lens cover or case.

They were a little dusty from sitting on a shelf in the basement. I cleaned off the outside dust and the insides (where the film goes) looks fine. Like no dust no wear...like new.

Are the lenses scratched? No idea...they are dusty and I don't want to scratch them by trying to clean them not knowing what I'm doing...

I'm sure they will be ok in the dish washer...right?

Just kidding..

Anyway pics up later...

Me? I'm into knives (duh:D) mostly framelocks, gear of all kinds, flashlights other cool stuff like that...

Thanks for looking!

Finally gonna post some pics.

The headlong rush toward digital has caused a glut of used film cameras at obscenely low prices (from a seller`s standpoint, this makes me ill, I have a lot of vintage cameras).
I just checked the completed auctions at FleaBay, and the last 20 AE-1s that sold averaged $56 each, and the T-70 auctions averaged $46 each (T-50s and T-70s were not very collectible).
So sorry, but it doesn`t look like you`ll be buying any Striders with the proceeds of your camera sales....

The cameras are both 35mm SLRs I'm not sure about the 70 model but the AE-1 is a manual focus camera that uses FD lenses I believe. I used one when taking college courses in photography so you could learn Apeture "forgot how to spell but thats close" and shutter priority. Basically to make your subject clear and the background blurred or clear.Anyway they were made in the 70's to 80's
I believe. Your best bet is craigslist or Ebay. They are way outdated but were a very good camera at the time.Just like a cassette was compared to a CD now.I hope this helps,If you dust it off and clean it with a lens and if you have anything else you could probably get $200 or $250 for the AE-1 the other I'm not sure. I use a Canon EOS and it works great and my Uncle still Uses his AE-1
and the pictures look the same even though mine was about $2000 more.Good Luck:)

No biggie. I'm not looking to retire on these and Striders I got.:D Plus I'm not looking to sell them. This is a trade thread...

It's just that they are sitting here doing nothing and I figured someone might get some use out of them. And if I get some gear out of it...cool...
