I have three round appx 2lbs each, and enough stock for square ones 1"x3" heads which is excellent for drawing the tapers and the blade edge.

Email me for more info

Daniel,
Since you have a few hammers left, and I paid for mine back in MAY!!!?? Don't want one anymore since I've emailed you several times, I have not reported our transaction to PayPal as I said was going to do. AND as I said after you refused to respond back to me, I have since gotten a Nathan Robertson hammer, I simply want my money back!

Mods, I apologize for putting this on the forum, believe me I have tried and tried to contact him, he answered one email after I paid him. Or was it his wife leaving a message on my answering machine.

Nathan the only thing I can say is contact PayPal and put MY money back into my account NOTHING else matters to me, Rex

Good enough for me, Rex.....no hammers from Daniel.......

Bowtie,

I can not express how hard I've tried to avoid this from happening, how hard I've tried to get him to contact me, how many times I've told him I was going to report our transaction to PayPal.
As a knife maker, our word is our reputation, our reputation as a knifemaker is how we continue to stay in business, I guess Daniel feels like he either doesn't need more business or doesn't care. Or maybe he felt like my 85.00 dollars wasn't as important to him as it is to me. I'm not in a destitute or on my last dime situation, nor am I rich, wealthy or even well-off, I have to work for
everything I have, for everything I want and I respect what money I do have and EXPECT the same respect of those I choose to spend my money with. This is a matter of principle, a matter of
honor and respect. It is hard for me to understand why Daniel would ruin his name for 85 dollars. But when he posted that he still had hammers left, I couldn't not say something, and allow the
same thing to happen to someone else.

The last thing I wanted to do was bring this private transaction out into an open forum, but Daniel left me no other alternative. I was patient, understanding and even offered him as many excuses as I could come up with. I do not want to ruin anyone's reputation, BUT<!> if the same thing happened to someone else and they didn't warn me of the possibility that I could lose my money, I wouldn't be happy about the fact that it could have been avoided simply by sharing the experience.

Daniel has put me in this position and I hate to being in it, I would so much rather be on here telling everyone that I had a great transaction and more importantly, critiquing the hammers he's
making!

I will be turning this over to PayPal, let them handle it from here, and I won't be discussing this publicly anymore, if anyone wants more information about this email me, so we can leave this off the forum, and get back to learning about KNIFE MAKING!!!! Thanks Rex

BTW, BOWTIE if you are still interested in a Japanese forging hammer, email me at d_r_f_1@yahoo.com, I bought a Nathan Robertson Japanese forging hammer and it is AWESOME!!!!!! The best hammer I've ever used PERIOD!!!!

I was just searching for a Japanese forging hammer and would have considered one of Daniels. I'd actually like to hear from Daniel himself on this thread. Rex, I really hope you get this resolved without too much hassle.

Mike,
Unfortunately the hassle has reached the peak of way too much, I actually gave him 2 to 3 months to resolve this, and there was no response. If you want a Japanese forging hammer, the MAN the HAMMER
MAKING EXTRAORDINAIRE is Nathan Robertson, I finally got one and it is awesome. Arm fatigue is way down, rebound is awesome, I can't say enough about mine, the only regret is i would have waited for 2.5
pounder instead of a 3 pounder, I think i would have a little better control with a lighter hammer. I may buy one of them too, they are that good! If you need his contact info, let me know, his prices are
reasonble and also you can get them from USA knife Makers. It is unfortunate that he has treated this entire transaction the way he has, I don't know his situation and I took that into consideration which is
why I waited so long say anything. I did everything I could to give him the chance to make it right, obviously he didn't.

No problem, He is probably in the top 5 to 10 hammer makers in the US, maybe further, his work is awesome, his email addy is jpine@paulbunyan.net, don't fret if he doesn't answer your email immediately, he travels a lot, and in demand at Hammer in's and teaching all over the US! I promise he is awesome, in both his work and his service, hell, he sent my hammer BEFORE I paid for it! Tell him Res sent you, it won't get you any discounts, but I told him I would spread the word, and I want him to know that I meant it! Thanks Bud, You won't regret it!!!! I will say that if your not used to hammering a lot to go with the 2.5 pound
hammer, my 3 pounder took some getting used to, but with an anvil with good rebound you will see a difference. ENJOY! Rex
