Most of you guys out do me! The SAK (fairly substantial "Tinkerer" model with 3.25" locking blade) in a pouch on my weak side is my back-up knife. Primary varies a lot from fixed 3" Dozier K-1 to large or small Sebenza, one of a couple of CRKT knives, or my trusty old Endura, but I only have one on me at any given time. If I've got my daypack on my back [away from home, out of the car, outside typically] there's either a small but very sharp something - often a SWEDGE II - or a larger knife depending on what I'm doing and where I am.
The latter answer depends on whether wood cutting for fire or shelter, or some sort of trail blazing (or possibly extensive food prep) may be required given the territory between myself and my car (or home). Usually, in my current experience, the answer is no.
