I have Zero Tolerance for hiking...

The second I got my 0180 in hand, I knew I would really want that axe to go with it. And dang it, no thanks to you guys, I REALLY want one now.

Wow cool pictures and story, I'd love to do hikes like that.

I didn't even know there was an area like this in the vicinity till a few years ago. There my be some cool spots around where you live as well, just waiting to be discovered. :)

Give in, give in to the temptation. :D

Found a few pics from awhile back because more pictures in this thread are needed!

A little size comparison:

Just noticed your hawk doesn't have a serial number. Pick up a blem? Or is that a pre serial number hawk?? That's pretty cool

The ZT0180 makes a nice companion for the 0102....

Blem.
Far as can be told, it's a slight coating blemish.
Grinds are all perfect, and I'll end up wearing plenty of coating off anyway, no matter how resilient it's supposed to be. ;)

Besides, we all know that XXX is the sign of good things, so XXXX must be even better! :D

I've always been amazed at how ZT blems have consistently been better than knives other companies sold for full price. I guess it's just another sign of the standards they hold themselves to.

Same here; I've owned three blems from Kershaw and in some cases the blems functioned better than a non-blem knife of the same model. Go figure LOL.:foot::thumbup::cool:

That's funny for sure!

The blems all are purely cosmetic in nature for sure, not function.
One 0551 blem I gave to my dad had an off-centre blade, but not by all that much. A $300 knife I had bought not long before that (won't say from what manufacturer) had a blade more off-centre, and was considered perfectly fine.

They take quality control pretty damned seriously at ZT from what I can see.
