Just my two cents on the smoking subject...I smoked 2-3 packs a day for 11 years. My mother (yeah thats right
) sent me a book, a little 130 page book called The Easy Way to Stop Smoking. I read it in two maybe three days. The author says to smoke the whole way through it (of course I did) and there are no scare tactics or horrible pictures or anything like that. Basically just a guy talking to you about smoking. Anyway I finished the book, closed the cover, lit a cig, took two drags, and put the cigarette out. I haven't had even a drag on a cigarette in over a year, nor the slightest desire to, no matter how much smoke gets blown in my face at the bar. It sounds silly but this book changed my life, I NEVER thought I would be able to quit. That "shadow or spectre" of heart disease, lung cancer...all that stuff is in the back of your mind when you're a smoker whether its a concious thought or not...immediately vanished when i knew I was done smoking. Not to mention I've got an extra $3000 or so a year in my pocket...ok in knives. So anyone who has even the slightest interest in quitting really should pick up this book (no i didnt write it nor do i get a cut of the profits lol). Now....and i hope this doesnt ruin it for anyone considering this book...if I make it to 75...screw it im lighting up! Cause at that point (sorry to all the old-heads out there) life really is too short. (If anyone would like more information feel free to pm or email me) Quitting smoking is the best thing I've ever done...period.
