After posting in the 90th post giveaway and seeing others post pics yet turn down the Mora that jontok is giving away, I decided to just get it over with.

I've used Moras that belong to friends and was quite surprised at how they perform. I've been on the fence about getting one but decided to pull the trigger. My 16th wedding anniversary is on the 21st of this month and my wife gave me my usual gift in advance. "go buy yourself something." She knows me so well and knows that I'm impossible to shop for.

I don't have a ton of money to play with so we usually keep out gifts to each other rather conservative.

I placed my order with Ragnar and have 2 Moras and 2 Frosts blades on the way. I ordered an 860 Clipper in Orange, A 780 Triflex Craftsmen, and two of their Cobblers blades (KBH-837) to turn into full tang, scandi ground bushcrafters. :D

I figure, if pitdog has been converted to a Mora fan, its just a matter of time before I am drawn to the dark side. I might as well just accept it and start distancing myself from my sharpened pry bars.

I don't know how you folks sleep at night. Buncha bad influences...

:D:p:D

congrats on your upcoming anniversary

You will be happy with the mora's guaranteed !

The sole reason Mora's exist are to make you feel bad when you realize how much more you spent on other knives! :D

When I got my first Mora, the 510, I made the mistake of saying in front of my wife, "Well, I guess I don't have a good excuse to buy more knives..." She rarely lets me forget that one!

Congrats on the anniversary and the knives! I'm sure the knives will serve you well, but having a live person to snuggle with is infinitely better!

Congrat on 16 years bro.

I don't know how you Mora fans sleep at night watching us spend hundreds of dollars on knives knowing a 15 dollar mora can do the same thing;)

I compensate by buying lots of moras.. I have a dresser drawer full....

Now thats funny.

I have a bad feeling about this purchase.

Welcome to the club!!!:D:D

Please let us know how the cobblers turn out! I have three myself, and an idea about how to modify them, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet:rolleyes:

Oh, Congrats on the anniversary!

on the stainless moras give a few passes on a loaded strop right out of the box, it makes a huge difference.

I've been enjoying working with my 780 Triflex for the past month or so. Nice blade.

I also got a Cobbler blade. Now I've got to decide what kind of scales to slap on the sides. Decisions, decisions...

I bought my first mora for the trip I took this past weekend. It was the clipper. It did a great job of cleaning a few squirrels and making some fuzz sticks. It did an even better job of getting lost. I can't find the dang thing. I think it is in my buddies car. Regardless- hey, its a mora. I spent 11 bucks on the thing so it isn't the end of the world.

I've just decided to never buy a Mora and remain in ignorance. My customs are thanking me already.

I have a clipper, thats burried in the trunk of my car and a Mora #1 that I keep deep in the back of my knife closet.

Its that I can't see them and their crap sheaths which is why they never make it out.:D

JOY!!!

Ragnar does not disappoint!! :D

Knives were waiting for me when I got home from work. Of course, I left my camera on after my last upload so its charging right now. Pics soon.

I'll be taking one of the Cobblers out to the garage tomorrow for the first steps in its transformation. The Craftsman and Clipper will be getting their spines cleaned up as well.

I'd like to thank the Mora fans for sending me down this dark, twisted, yet inexpensive and oddly satisfying road.
