This just came in the mail. I thought I'd post some pictures, and I'll post my thoughts on it later on. It's too soon now. My first impression is very positive. I can't wait to cut some stuff and try out the M4.

I think this might be my first post on Bladeforums. I've been lurking here for a little while, but I didn't have anything to say until now.

i think you'll be very pleased with m4. i've been using the 710-801 for a little while now and it just really cuts. haven't had any probs with corrosion either. i wish that 760 had a low ride clip

st burt,
That 760 is sweet:thumbup:, I'm waiting for my local shop (1SKS) to get some in. By the way, Welcome to Bladeforums.com. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

I picked one up yesterday at my local gunshop and I am very impressed with it. It is a well built knife and looks great. I don't mind the knife riding a little higher in the pocket because it makes it easier to get ahold of. It will be seeing some serious pocket time over the next couple of months.

Quite a handsome knife ya got there. However, the clip mounting is kinda bleh though :\

Nice pictures.

Congrats on the purchase.

I have one of these 760 knives and I think I'll like it, since I like the Blackwater version.

Some gripe about the clip location, but the clip serves as a lockbar stop and positions the knife for easy extraction IMO. But I carry IWB and not in a pocket.

I'm a fan of longer handles, too, so the 760 is a natural for me.

beautifu framelock with a fugly clip to be sure, but lets not get caught up over a clip!

Cool knife, with a cool lock, and a cool clip. I do like many said above wish that it had a better clip. Still it’s a sweet knife. Thanks for the pics.

That's a handsome looking knife. Good pics. Thanks for posting.

Oh yeah - "....but I didn't have anything to say until now." That's smart.

Welcome.

I really hope you like that one better than the one's I've played with. I liked the knife, but the two I handled had to many issues. I like the idea. Keep us updated on it as you use it. We all like our new toys, but learn about it more over the next few weeks.

Thanks!
Greg

Just picked up 880/1000 at the local knife shop. nice knife, rides a little high. the clip placement is an "improvement" over the blackwater version of the knife as it snagged on the pivot screw with the low ride clip. the placement also is to keep the frame lock from over travel.

Tip down carry only?! Well, another one bites the dust. More for you guys. It is a beauty though. Good luck with it.

I heard the detent isn't very strong, maybe that's why it's tip down only...

First post and already on the right track. Good job sir ! That knife is a beast. Wow !
