I just had "the talk"...

Showed this thread to the wife last night. She was just happy to see that I am not the only one who spends many evening looking at knives.
 
I am a full time sword maker and my girl of 7 years is a realestate appraiser. Needless to say this happend a lot for a while. Now sadly we dont talk much about either of our work anymore...
 
You can't expect your partner to share your hobbies and interests but you can expect them to repect your love for your hobby. It sounds like she did exactly that, staying and listening through the whole speech. As someone elsehere said, she's a keeper.
 
My girlfriend likes playing with my knives, but she doesn't know anything about them and I think she'd like to keep it that way. :D
