I just noticed this.

wm isnt a bad guy, i dont think there was any malice in this thread, just noticed something, and thought maybe we would be interested, albeit this forum is not the appropriate place.

Maybe, maybe not. I have been lurking here a lot longer than he has been a member. Given past stuff I reserve judgement, what little good my judgement is. The mods are the sheriff's around here, he is their problem.

13 seems a little low to me. I've been on knife/sword forums that had age restrictions of 18+, and you have to use your REAL name as your username. This place isn't so "strict" :)

All BS meters go up to 10. Some people's BS meters just red-line earlier. WalkingMan's BS meter redlines somewhere around 3.5 , y'all should know that by now. We may not all be friends here, but it's Busse Combat, not Busse Collector, so we're gonna have some big-boy attitudes 'round here.

agreed, i am not an apologist, but i am sure everyone has posted something they regret at some point. i read an earlier thread of his that he received quite a beating for, i would guess if he could have deleted the whole thread, he may have.

BladeForums.com is an adult website with adult discussions.
In accordance with the COPPA, no one under the age of 13 may join BladeForums.
.
This comes straight from the bladeforums website, so all of that PC nonsense can stop now. Thanks.

Indeed, and according to many "Adult" websites, they must be 18 yrs of age minimum, so technically, Bladeforums isn't an "Adult" website, but a website open to anyone over 13 to discuss knives. Technically, according to the law, anyone under the age of 18 is considered a minor, thus keeping blade forums from being an "Adult" website.

Question and this in not to stir anything up... I ask that no one else jump behind me with comments, but is this in regards to the "banned" smilie?

ThatMguy, Blue Label, Progunner and Jerry's definiton are the rule of thumb here. Jerry must have picked those individuals because he trusts them to uphold a level of decorum that fits his approval.
no, jerry picked them because he lost the drinking contest, i'm joining next year if cobalt doesn't get picked

Thanks Skunk... I'd just start banning people at random anyway LMFAO :D

Why is foul language, girlie pictures, and rude behavior so important to some folks?

Theres a difference between "Being an Adult" and "Actual Maturity"

For those that are bent on being immature, there are sites that actually encourage foul language and girlie pictures, why force it on the majority here that dont want it?

I'll probably get compared to Mick S. again for this :o Sorry WM, but Whine and Cheese and Pirates Cove allow what you want, why not post your needed smut there?

I think it's important not to worry about political correctness. It is quite divorced from morality or veracity or any other significant quality. WHen people are really conerned about being PC how can anyone know what they really feel about anything?

I'm not sure I want to know how some of you HOGS really feel. And stop looking at my little pile of INFI already!

Your little pile of WHAT???????

It's not about smut or foul language.....
It's about the minor stuff, like banning the Zardoz picture.
That's something that I REALLY, REALLY don't understand, why is it deleted every time it's posted? Nothing obscene there. Just a goofy pic of Sean Connery in a lame movie.

It's about posting and having some fun. Nothing obscene, but maybe a little more risque than what's been allowed.
HECK, you can find pics of Borat in that bright green speedo thing on most major public internet sites that I am certain many children visit. Why not here?
I've posted that I think there is a "holier than thou" attitude here in Busse forum, but most disagree.... I still think it's true.
It's about allowing what is and can be seen on regular television stations and/or the radio, that anyone, of ANY age could be exposed to, whether the parents approve or not..
As far as I can tell, the Busse forum as of right now wouldn't even allow Baywatch pics. I know sooner or later that I'll have to deal and or meet most of you. Let's get some open, honest, and FAIR discussion going.
