For the last year and a half I have become more and more impressed with "Victorinox" and or "Wenger" SAK's. They just plain get it done day in and day out. I used to think they were a joke and would wonder why someone would want a SAK over say, a "Spyderco Military" or a "Police" or some other large locking folder. But these days I seem to always have one of several Vic's in use at any givin time. I buy them when I see them for sale and I have gifted at least a dozen to friends and co-workers who also have learned to appreciate the usefulness of the SAK. Anyway, I have been EDCing a 91mm "Climber" and before that was a 91mm "Tinker" and before that was a "Recruit" and or "Cadet". So as you see I keep getting more and more gadgets. So I have on order a "Champion Plus" with black scales. I can't tell you how excited I am to receive this knife/tool. I wasn't this geeked up when waiting for any of my Custom or Customized knives in the past. I think there will be a "Swiss Champ" in the pile pretty soon as well. Well I just had to get that out of my system. When it arrives I will post some Pics for sure!!!!:D:thumbup: Tell us about your favorite SAK if you have one!!!!;)

I've got a few myself. Stashed all over the place, can't keep track! :)

I picked up a One-hand Trekker a while back and really liked it for a stroll around the lake, tucked into a back pocket. Sometimes I forgot I even had it. Recently I got a red alox Farmer. That did it. Replaced the OHT and sometimes I don't even bother with a tactical folder or multitool anymore.

I've got the Victorinox Ranger and Swiss Champ but they go in my gear bags these days.

I do love all alox scaled Victorinoxes. Victorinox blades are really good slicers. Pioneer / Old soldier are my favorites.

I have a yellow rescue tool from Victorinox and I leave it in my car, it's a good tool to have there for emergencies. I would like to get more SAKS but every time I have money to spend I end up buying another Spyderco.

Vic SAKs are some of my favorite knives period.I'm never without one in my left front pocket and on my keychain.

I EDC 84mm SAKs all the time... yup, they got softer blade steel, but still they hold the edge reasonable well, and super easy to sharpen...

for the price paid... victorinox definilately an awesome useful EDC folder...

BTW, alox soldier and farmer is definately solid folder... they build so well, and looks great... so glad thet there're till lots of SAKs fan...

Ive been carrying this little sucker for about a year and wouldnt trade for it.Its only about 2 1/2" but works like a heavyweight. It has a little light on the end and even a freakin ink pen that writes immediately every time.Unbelievable quality for about $12.00 i think.

I EDC an Alox Pioneer quite a bit and I'm always suprised at the quality for the <$30 I paid for the knife! Takes a great edge and easy to sharpen.

I really like the Wenger Ranger 56 that I've been using for backpacking. It has everything I need.

My addiction started a long time ago, but faded in college, and has recently picked up again with my visits to the Wilderness and Survival Skills subforum here.

I bought a Vic Spartan/Classic combo at one of the big box stores, carried the Spartan for a while, but wanted scissors, then came the Vic Explorer, which I like a lot, and still carry a lot on the weekends.

After much reading on W&SS, I decided I needed a saw, so I bought a Vic Huntsman, which I found to be to my liking, rotating in with the Explorer on a regular basis, but the lack of a phillips head lead that one to its eventual home in a BOB. In the search for all the tools I wanted, I followed the Huntsman with a Vic Ranger.

The Ranger had everything I wanted...but was too thick for pocket carry, so it went in the center console of my truck.

Then I bought several Vic Supertinkers, which were on clearance at Wally World, some of which I gave away here on BF. This is my EDC at work, since the knife policy is restrictive. I have stayed with this over my Explorer because the slimmer profile makes a good keychain for my work keys.

More recently I bought a Vic Outrider, thinking it had everything the OHT has along with the beloved scissors. Unfortunately, it is a big piece of gear, and is only usually carried if I have cargo pockets. The same goes for the Vic OHT that I bought shortly after, thinking the slimmer profile would reduce the bulk, but it is still too large for pocket carry IMO.

Most recently, I bought a Alox Vic Electrician Plus. I like the thickness and the added saw, but it is missing scissors. I am not sure that this is a good fit for me, but maybe after a little time I will fall for this less popular brother of the Alox Farmer.

I guess if I had to pick a favorite traditional style SAK, it would be the Explorer...but if you want to go big, in my opinion, nothing beats a SwissTool X. Wow, that was a lot of rambling to get to a short conclusion.:)

The BEST one hasn't been built yet.
A One Hand Trekker WITHOUT the saw would be the cat's nuts.

Thinner and one hand open.

oh GOLLY!

I love Victorinox Swiss army knives, I've carried one in my front right pocket for years.

I've had a few different ones over the years but I wanted a saw so I was trying to decide whether to get the Camper with black scales or the Farmer with Alox scales a year or so ago, I went with the Farmer and it's been in my pocket ever since. The Farmer is great, it has pretty much all the tools I need and when paired with a Classic, it's a perfect SAK combo.

I really liked the Alox scales but was missing the tooth pick and tweezers (I never noticed how much I used those), and I figured scissors wouldn't hurt either. So I solved my problem with a Vic Classic, it's small enough to not get in the way so I can still carry the Farmer but has the tooth pick and tweezers, and I actually use the scissors to cut my nails so it turned out to be a pretty handy little knife.

I do carry a Spyderco Endura as well though, most of the time a SAK is all I need but sometimes the extra blade length and the lock can come in handy. Oh and I realise that there are locking SAKs but I prefer my locking knife to be a little slimmer and more easily accessible (pocket clip). For most tasks though I still prefer to use my Vic Farmer.

Have a few SAK's but my favorite is my Wenger Evo 18, all the tools I need and feels just right in the hand. Pic borrowed from wenger site.

Man I love my Vic's, but ever since I got my Leatherman wave, I haven't been carrying them. I guess I should put them back in the line up. I use them around the house but I guess Ive been neglecting their outdoor time. I don't want knife services called on me.:D

My Vic's...my favorite..If I had to choose...the super tinker

I love SAKs, and the alox soldier still finds its way in my pocket fairly often. The skipper, OHT and GAK all spend a fair amount of time in my pocket as well. Here's a few...
