I know the temptation to leap toward fixed blade knives for practical edc applications, but any reasonable person would exhaust the folding knife...

I got a 4-cylinder Mazda3 for daily driving
I also got a 5.0 Ford F-150 for truck stuff
*(And a 1996 ELF ProXL bmx bike I retro-modded just for fun)

I saw the Schrade Sharpfinger, a design I've always loved, offered in 1095 !
Damn you. Enabler !
I just ordered one. Plus, while I was at it, a small Böker Atlas all steel folder with blackened handle. Now, that's reasonable ! And while I haven't exhausted all the possibilities of bacon, I will certainly use both to cut cheese or peel apples, oranges, grapefruits.... whatever comes my way.

There’s all kinds of great knives, why limit yourself to just one? I usually carry two and sometimes three.

But I came here for the pie. There’s lots of great kinds of pie too ! 😆

I like mine quite a bit, but I will warn you that the bone scales had some flaking when it first arrived. Only an aesthetic issue, which I didn't mind, but watch out for it.

Here in Texas, I think the law allows the open carry of about anything shorter than a Roman Gladius. Double edged dsaggers are allowed for instance.

But I would hesitate to openly carry any belt knife EDC or otherwise in any urban or suburban setting. A folder of any size compatible with extended pocket carry would be my first choice.
