Has anyone here had problems ordering from Cheaper than Dirt, where you place an order but they don't actually have it (as some places are known to do)? Or do they only list items for sale that they actually have?

Just wondering because I placed an order for something I couldn't really find anywhere else, and for a good price too. Hoping I will actually get it sometime in the near future.

Unlike the OD Green PMAGs I've had on backorder for months:rolleyes:
 
CTD is on my no-buy list for many reasons. Mags are one of them.

Hmmm, I hesitated to buy anything from them after how they reacted to the Sandy Hook aftermath.

Didn't really want to but there but they were the only ones I saw that had it in stock (or at least not listed as backorder or out-of-stock) for a reasonable price (2-3X normal on gunbroker is not reasonable to me).

Maybe that should have been a sign... oh well, we'll see.
 
Just got a call from my mom. Apparently she was at the DMV and somebody backed up into her car (2012 BMW X5) then ran off. Even better there's no security cameras (WTF?) so the police can't do anything. Now I'm waiting for her to come home to see how bad the damage is... Should be interesting.

Spending too much time online so I am cutting down my forum time among other things, be back in the fall. Listed a dozen or so Cam and Blackjack era for those collecting.
 
Just got Christine's TM Hunt Magua. Two initial observations: no one packs a knife like Todd and the Magua feels great in the hand! Pics coming.

Sorry folks, but we live in Toronto. Can someone provide some background info? We don't necessarily disagree with any of the sentiments posted here - we're just not sure what happened.
 
CTD used to be great back in the day but then changed their shipping prices which made [enter item here] cost just about as much as getting it local. That's when I really got turned off of them. Checking in once and a while, I can say that they were ridiculously price gouging. $99.00 for a used USGI 30rd mag!!!!!!! CTFO
 
Yeah right after Sandy Hook they release a statement trying to appear like the took the "moral high ground", saying they would no longer carry certain products. But apparently price gouging like crazy on what they still has in stock was ok. People went blasted them for it, and rightfully so, then they caved and said they'd continue to stock all the same items.

Still have a bad taste from that, kinda regret giving them any money, but we'll see if they even have it in stock.

What!!!! No ESEE icon...why, whatever happened to it.... Every time I log in... there is no one there... and now I find out the ubiquitous Esse icon is gone...forsooth, I am downtrodden...
