gonna post these over in the MYB thread, thought you snarkers might like to see 'em, too. Rode my (leg powered) bike out to the beach today. Of course, it was an awesome "beach day" here in NH, meaning it was 60-65°F and clear blue skies with a nice chilly easterly blowing off the water.

Southbound (just came from) view from Wallis Sands:

Out towards the Isles of Shoals (Smuttynose beer is named after on of these islands....yep, Smuttynose Island):

And looking North towards ME and where I'm headed:

Going to go relax and maybe watch an episode of "Game of Thrones".

Gorgeous, but no pics of the bike?

It's dirty. Specialized SL Pro (100% CF) with FSA RD-58 CF wheels rolling on ContiPro 25's and SRAM RED. I'm sad to say I do not have pics of my ride. It's way more bike than I need, but it is fun to ride. Now I literally need to get my ass in shape. 8 months off from riding....I've grown unaccustomed to a bike saddle.

My dad is trying to become a green thumb, I might need to slip a few pepper plants in there with his crap... er... stuff.

Pick at least two different varieties and 3 of each kind to improve your odds, because hot peppers seem to either do great with almost no effort... or require a ton of fiddling around with.

You just have to experiment a bit and see what works for you. Naturally there are entire forums about growing them, but like most topics (even moreso than knives/steel, oddly enough) if you read them enough you'll discover there's very little concensus... everybody's RIGHT! and they just keep counterposting each other :p

Cool pics GSOM!

Johnny.... That looks YUMMY.

James, if all those habs grow make lots of chili :D I love a few habaneros sliced up into some chili and slow cooked... Just a few per large pot gives it a nice flavor without making it too spicy to enjoy.

I love spicy food but im not one of the guys eating the hottest peppers in the world to prove a point either... Although i have ate a couple habs straight up in the past, i wouldnt be biting into those jolokias. The habs are too hot for me to enjoy by themselves as well, but are awesome mixed into other things and only take a little to get the job done.

Me neither. There are guys on growing groups that brag about eating bhut jolokias and carolina reapers whole just for the endorphin buzz ... that's freakin' nuts.

I'm hoping to have enough hab's to make some pest spray... other than that I suspect it will be one habanero to about a gallon of my regular sauce ;)

I saw today that Crocs is now making formal wear.

I picked up this cross between tacticool and hunter sheik. Go redneck or go home, homey. No doors will be safe at Blade. Good talk.

there are a lot of ESEE forum folks in/near Houston -- and the Sam Houston nat'l forest less than an hour North of town if you want to go camping, hiking, or fishing...

Also, damn. That was a lot of snark to wade through to catch back up.

GSOM, awesome pics. Thanks for sharing. Jonny, ribeye is, if not my favorite cut, very close. How did you season it?
