I like 'em...stabby...

Stabby AND slicey is a winning combination. Hey, it's all what a knife is supposed to do. I love the trailing point and upswept patterns.

I'm not much for trailing points, but plus 1 for stabby and slicey. Here's a couple that fill that bill for me.

Check out:
Cold Steel Ti Lite
Cold Steel Hold Out
CRKT Hissatsu
CRKT Heiho
CRKT Otinashi Noh Ken
CRKT Shizuka Noh Ken
Steel Will Intrigue

Had a couple of the CRKTs and have thought about the Ti Lite.

Have you tried the Cold Steel Tai Pan?

Only a bit...I tend to prefer the 4-5" range...had an old...Peace Keeper? Regret selling that one.

Drop point is the pattern that checks almost all boxes. A great allrounder. No wonder it's the pattern of most hunting knives.

As far as "almost" pure stabbinators are concerned, here are the two I indulged in... They are also fantastic little EDC cutters and back-ups, and that's why they stay in the rotation...

To me, pretty much all daggers are a disappointment for any slicer work, They have a Cool:cool: factor on my M1 etc.. other than that,, Ive never had to stab any people And I hope to avoid ito_O:confused::)
Daggers are certainly cool if you like knives, but they have little practical use other than to stab things.

My first thought when I saw this thread yesterday was.... Ahhhhh.... dagger thread, not interested.... Opened the thread and you know, I also like my knives a little stabby as I like the clip and saber shapes the best. The full bodied drop point doesn't have much appeal to me to use, even hunting and skinning.

I thought about my favorite knives and they are all pretty much a bit stabby. Last spring I tried to like a GEC #71 Bull Nose slippie..... I tried, really, as everyone raved about them. Well, I honestly don't care for it because it is not stabby. I realized that I really didn't like the knife the first time I tried to open a store clam shell packaging and struggled. I mean..... if I can't easily pierce something like this to open it, why do I want the knife in my pocket?

This was also a revelation to me in many ways and I have pretty much stopped buying slippies that do not have clip blades anymore (with some spear points tossed in). I do like my SAK however as the spear point is stabby enough for me.

Nice knives!! I have always preferred a blade with a keen tip, or if a multi blade, at least one of those blades needs to be pointy. Good for picking out splinters lol.
Tell me about that second one up on the right. Looks like that would be a dandy bird and trout knife.

From the looks of these knives I have...I'm a step away from buying at the area jails..."You know who makes the best toothbrush shanks? Joey...you need one of his for your collection."

Any other fans of the shankariffic knives?

None of these are knives I would think I like but I see several that really grab my eye despite being completely opposite from my usual style, could you list the 4 fixed blades on the bottom left and right?

Sure, on left are Scrapyard Weiner and Swamp Rat Bandicoot...on right Winkler Operator and Osprey Raptor.

You should see the stuff I make then.

Never seen those before...very cool!
Benchmade DarkStar, Mini DarkStar, and Mini BlueStar. Allen Elishewitz designs from around 2000.
Not terribly useful, but, like you say, very cool.

varying degrees of stabby (please ignore the oily blades and poor lighting)

You specialise in posting Cold Steel videos while offering no comment. Is Man with no name also Man with no words?

I, for one, have no interest in sitting through excruciatingly awful Cold Steel marketing videos. What is your interest?
