I like my Emerson Knife Models, but I wish.

Super 13 or a super bulldog would be amazing. My only complaint about the bulldog is the size.

I actually love the size of the Bulldog, kind of a CQC-5.5 (half way between a 5 & 6). I like that it is a chisel grind tanto, yet not a big eyebrow raiser in public if not waved in dramatic fashion. That said, I'd buy a Super version the day it was released, just not as a replacement for when I use the standard 'Dawg.

as a lefty - i have to say - one can never have too many lefty options (since everything else in life is the wrong side for us :D)

As a "Ambidex" who has been kind of forced to favor the left in using a folder I understand. But every piece I own being LH has no bearing on anything. I have never owned a LH model of any knife.

What causes me concern on the Emerson front is that from all I have read here and now experienced myself is that the chisel grind (the way Ernie does it) absolutely favors a LH person.

I am so enamored with the way these knives cut for me using my LH that it is somewhat of a letdown when I switch to another knife/manufacturer.

I know what Ernie says for the reason why he does it the way he does it but if I was strictly RH .....I don't think it cuts near as well in the RH as the left. In fact, for me at least, it isn't even really worth a discussion. So yes I would love a LH 7 and Super 7 ....as long as the blade was left alone.:-)

I agree with Pennypincher. I would love to have some more choices on pivots/clips etc. etc. and lower the cost a tad. I'm not going to rag big time about it but daggone....it's really kind of silly IMO.

And with the way the pivot is on my standard CQC-7BW it would be EXTREMELY beneficial to have any of those other offerings to give me more purchase when tightening or loosening the pivot. And before someone says loctite it....I am not complaining about the pivot. I Love That Pivot being like it is because there are times when I favor a looser or a tighter one. The thumbnail technique kinda sorta sucks at times....especially when I tighten it down pretty good. Then I have to breakout the pocket tool to loosen it.

I am enjoying this thread. I am new to the Emerson community and I am finding myself already obsessing over them. Became part of the ECA a week after buying my first jungle commander. I have always been a large folder lover. I started with CS knives as many of you once did, though you may not admit it. The 4 to 5 inch blades were my favorite. I own two supers through the Emerson line; desert roadhouse and commander. I would like to see more models available in a super. Like possibly a super CQC-13? The frame locks sound good too. How about a super frame lock? I am well aware of the UBR commanders and they are on my watch list. Wish they came in a black blade.....

You need a Super 7 tanto. Trust me when I tell you this. If you have any doubt, just ask Rolf ..... he will give you his opinion. ;-D
