I like the GEC acrylics

Oh Man this thread is killin' me

I finally nailed a sweet Lava Lamp with the jig saw 3D effect that I so desired (Should be in early next week), she's not even in my hand and already I'm lusting for a Kryptonite or Dead Skunk!! I gotta stay clear of this thread...and to think 2 weeks ago I would not even think twice about acrylics

I also have the Copper Snake acrylic that is very cool.

The grits and molassas is decent looking. I also saw a couple in birthday cake that look to be decent. I think the lava lamp is the best looking of all.

Wonder if anybody over at GEC has looked into this thread? It seems to me that there's a rising tide of interest in these acyrlics,a new material on Traditional patterns,reminiscent of celluloid without its anti-social tendencies....

They could turn out some more patterns or do a re-run on my favourite, the Dead Skunk please!

Got this in this week, with the help of Knife Swapper (Mike), who helped me reel her in. I looked at 3 other ones but this one was worth the wait.

My Lava Lamp arrived today and here it is! I must say, I was floored when I opened the package. This knife is gorgeous-the photos don't do it justice. Much, much nicer than I expected. The springs are normal too, which is an added bonus.

That is awesome looking.:thumbup: I love how those blades sit so low in the frame.

G, you got a nice specimen! Everyone who sees a Lava Lamp with that real 3D effect are impressed. And you're right, photos really don't do them justice.:thumbup:
