to make me feel better has anyone lost a good knife (knives)? what kind was it? I lost about 15 knives, a bunch of kershaws a couple benchmades and a few others. I had them in a box but the box disappeared when I was moving

That sucks!

If the movers are insured, why not talk to them? Where else could they have gone?

I have luckily not lost anything more expensive than a cheap Gerber (yet!).

unfortunately there were no movers, it was all my fault, I wish I new where they've gone.

I’ve lost a couple. The one that stumg most was a very early SOG mini-multitool that my father gifted me. I loved that knife and it drove me nuts when it went missing.

Last year I lost a Buck I’ve had since I was a kid. I held out hope that it would reappear in some dark recess of the house...but that hope has faded now.

Loosing a whole box of knives would really suck!!! You have my sympathies.

I lost a box of knives in my last move - which was 5 years ago.

it turned up two weekends ago when i was downsizing the basement for a remodel. somehow, it had gotten stored in the bottom of a rubbermaid tote, with a bunch of bed sheets on top of it. I'm betting its there, somewhere...

on the bright side while tearing the house apart looking for them I found a few things I was looking for, a surefire flashlight (expensive)and some tools.

I had about 40 knives in my collection at the time so when I lost them I decided to get rid of a lot of the remaining knives I had and start over with a high end (more expensive) collection and vow to never lose one again.

Lost two in my short time with knives, a Dragonfly 2 and a SOG Mini Fielder. The former was me being careless, but the latter was a poor pocket clip.

In 57+ years I've lost one knife and misplaced one for about a decade. Guess I've been lucky.

I looked in my rubbermaid tote and they were not there, lol

I lost a Benchmade knife once raking leaves. I have a feeling it ended up in a bag of leaves that the trash man picked up. Fortunately it was a low cost model but I really liked that knife.

There is a good chance it will turn up when you least expect it. If that happens, you will appreciate your prized possessions more than you did before. If it’s any consolation, I lost a small 2 bladed case folder my dad gave me. I think I left it in a motel room in Cleveland Ohio. I have also sold knives due to financial difficulties.

Ouch! Lost my Buck Strider 880 tanto that was a gift from my father. I actually suspect my ex-wife 'lost' it because she was uncomfortable with knives. That one still hurts.

I lost the knives but the ones I lost did not have the sentimental value like the knives you guys lost, that brings a whole new level of hurt, sorry to hear that guys.

After doing 10 interstate moves before I was 18, I can say with some experience at least, that there is a good possibility they may yet turn up. Moving is very stressful and stress plays hell on the brain. One day you open a box, or get a call, "did you leave this here?" or move some other things around to re-organize your new place and bang!, they appear just like that. What usually follows is the memory of what you did and you say "oh ya, I remember now".
The one I really hated was "How the hell did that end up here???" which happens a few times as well and is forever a mystery.

Here's hoping they may still turn up for you.

I have "knock on wood" never lost a knife ... and hopefully yours are just misplaced and turn up soon in some of your stuff ... but that has to sick loosing a box full.

yes it is, I think about it everyday, I probably looked in the same places a hundred times, what normally happens is I'll be looking for something else and bam there they are, hopefully.

I've lost a pair of Spydercos. One I replaced. The other was irreplaceable: my first Spydie (my first modern, actually), a Police 1.
