I lost a bunch of knives

I hope the box turns up.

Since receiving my first knife in 1961, the knives I have lost have been fortunately limited to ::

- a small, half-worn out, single blade peanut my father gave me in 1962. It was lost in 1966 in the San Gabriel River east of Granger TX, where I fell in harvesting fossilized giant gastropods

- a no-name all-stainless steel single blade lockback I lost when my tackle box failed a "float test". A 3 foot wake from a house boat flipped the 12 foot jon boat a friend and I were fishing from on Lake Travis, NW of Austin Tx.

I'm still hoping this one is only "temporarily misplaced" - a Buck 484 is taking an extended vacation somewhere in the layers of insulation of the 4000+ sq ft attic of my house. It slipped from my pocket while reinsulating the house 3 or 4 years ago. I actually know where it is - somewhere in a 1500 sq ft section over the living room/ dining room. I kinda half-ass search for it every time I make a foray into the attic.

I have several knives that are known to be "hibernating" somewhere on the farm. I've got boxes of stuff still to be to be unpacked and sorted through out in the shop, warehouse, garage apartment, equipment shed, old brooder house, gardening shed and garage, in addition to the house.

Sorry to hear that.
Just lost a brand new GEC #78 with bone covers. Spent all afternoon at an RV show with my wife, must have been in & out of over a couple dozen trailers and vehicles, then ran some errands. When I checked my pocket at about midnight ... gone. I'm sure it slipped out when we were trying our a bed, or driver's or passenger's seat. :(
