I lost a bunch of knives

When we moved into our current house I found a plastic craftsman tool box in the attic when we were adding insulation to the attic. Inside was a bunch of screwdrivers, a hammer, and a brand new Glock 19. No joke. Called the former owner, no dice, wasn't there's. Called to local PO PO and they ran the serial and nothing came up. "I guess it's yours now" "better register it"

Still got it.....

Phrobis M9 Bayonet, I am still peeved at myself (disappeared during a move, probably landed in the wrong box and ended up in the garbage). Still wondering if I should replace it. It was the knife I bought myself as a replacement for the plastic handle survival rambo knife so there was a little sentimental value there.

I lost a Benchmade 555 on a hiking trip before. I think I also lost a red Victorinox Cadet that I lost in drivers ed. Hopefully I don't lose anything else

in an illegal search of my residence in 2012 the police relieved me of the following:

Engraved Swamp Rat Rucki with custom scales and a carbon-fiber pattern sheath

TSD Combat Systems Grab N stab with custom g-10 scales

Shivworks Disciple

Spyderco Pkal and trainer

An antique moro Kris

Esee-4

Kershaw Chive

Titanium Hideaway knife.

Nothing was ever logged in inventory. All attempts to retrieve stuff have failed.

There's a very long story there.

I think you just won the thread!
S****y way to win though!:(

I was working on my CJ5 in a parking lot (yes, I know, it's shocking to have to work on an old Jeep in a parking lot they're the epitome of dependable) and left my AFO on the ground and drove away

USPS just look a 5160 Buck 110 I sent to a friend. Not the first tim they're lost a knife of mine.

If you packed, moved everything yourself, it's unlikely they're lost. Just misplaced and they'll turn up when you replace them.

I misplaced a ZT0452 for about two months. It wasn't until I replaced it with a new 0452 that I found the one that I misplaced. Found it in a overnight bag. I just don't remember putting it in there. Tore up the house looking for it and gave up declaring it a loss. Bought the replacement. A couple days later, was packing for a trip and there it was. Now, I have an extra 0452, go figure.

Don't remember losing any knives but I did lose most of my knives when a POS neighbor broke into my home years ago. He got caught but being a minor they simply smacked the back of his hand and told him not to do it again. I got a couple of my guns back but none of my knives. He told the police he threw my 1911 match 45 and scoped 44 into the river. The only knives he didn't take were a few in a drawer of my nightstand. The fancy wooden storage box just made it easier for him to carry my knives.

Lost my Long-Time Comrade ZDP Delica this Summer. It was particularly das for me because it was heavily modified(Vertical Satin, thinned Blade, Ti Scales, Ti deep carry Clip, slipjointed the lock)... Damn that thing was awesome

My worst loss was my ZDP189 Delica. I'm not entirely sure when and how it happened, but I'm suspecting it had to do with clip snagging. Either way, careless on my behalf and it bugs me that it happened.

that sucks, I got upset reading your comment, I had lost a couple things when my car was searched for no reason, it didn't reach the level of your loss though, sorry to hear that.

GADS! That sucks.

Had a job on the docks way back when. It was great, in that you could bring your guns or knives to work if you wanted and nobody cared. I was into balisongs at the time, and a friend gave me a custom bali that his father had picked up in the Philippines on a Navy cruise. It was a wonderful piece, and I cherished it highly.

Work Buddy and I were keeping our rifles at the shop, as it was hunting season and we were taking off right after work each day. I'd bought a Tikka 695 and topped it with a new Burris compact scope and couldn't wait to take down a deer with it.

Had a break-in one night, and they stole all kinds of stuff including our rifles and that balisong from my desk drawer. I could go out and buy myself a new rifle and scope, but there's no replacing the heirloom piece that was that balisong from my old friend... who'd gotten it from his father.

If I lose a knife myself, well it's my own fault. But thieves on the other hand make my blood boil.

I've like many others have lost knives, none very recently though. But in my many decades I've lost more than I can remember. I recall losing a knife right before a camping trip. I remember the incident because my intense search for the knife made my father angry with me that we would not be leaving on time. Needless to say, I was upset at losing that knife. It was an important knife to me.
Today, I can't remember what that knife was. Same goes for many of the others I've lost over the years. Some I do remember.
Shocking as it may be, you can get over these things. You can move on, as frustrating as these losses may be.
Having one or more than one taken from me as W. Anderson described, that would probaby bother to no end.

Someone broke into my car about 6 months ago. Stole a SwissChamp MT from my glovebox as well as a nice Swix smart wool hat.

Like Velitrius, I hate thieves.

Yeah I won a crkt m-16 on here in a contest. Either lost it or got stolen. I think it got stolen along with my zippo that my dad gave me. But don't know for sure.

When I was very young I leaned over on a boat and had my first multitool fall out into the sea off of Asbury Park, NJ. To this day I do not know why I put it in that pocket.
