Serrated edge, a true chainsaw. Lightweight, very grippy, rustproof.

Excellent sheath, swedge for easy stabbingm but thick enough for general use.

Lanyard hole, easy to sharpen seel (care free, can be sharpened on a rock really).

Hard to beat for the purpose and environment suggested, IMO.

Yes they will big cats, human eater, leopard, or bengali tiger, my three of my relatives died working all combined 1 tiger did kill them all three mature men, i am in us so i will purchase the super knife to bring to home meaned for killing

Well shit man that's sucks I'd want to kill that tiger too. So your going big cat hunting with a knife? I wish you luck but I'm betting on tiger. Whatever blade you select get two of them.

Check out the Condor moonstalker it's heavy and sharp and pointy and it doesn't rust it's a damn good knife for Bush and Beast and it's only about 55 bucks with a Micarta handle and a hole where you can put a lanyard which you should use in the future so you don't lose it Anna, sharp and ready to kill if you have to and it's got a coated blade

If I was going after a cat it would be the moon stalker or one of these two Ontario Plus Marine Raider Bowie or the Gil hibben's

If any of them are going to work any of these would and they fit your requirements man I'm so glad we got the Second Amendment at least for now so we don't have to worry about going after big cats with knives but if things keep going the way they are maybe one day we'll have to then we'll feel really close to your predicament until then good luck it's too bad cat Meats no good for eating it was when you're done and I hope you survive he could celebrate with a BBQ feast

Good luck over there and as a final thought I'll put this to you maybe instead of knives you should use some bear pepper spray it's good on grizzly Bears so it should be good on big cats too so just spray it in their face up to 30 feet away and they just freaking go away and you won't have to worry about it anymore unless you just want to kill one I suggest a damn pepper spray go on eBay you'll find bear spray if it's good for the Grizzlies It's gotta be good for big cats just a thought if you're not wanting to die quick just remember there's always a solution some are better than others our hearts go out to you for what you have to deal with and good luck with that whatever you decide

With the broad price range, plus requirements of fairly broad availability, large killing power, stainless, never break, great chopper, I would recommend this:

35ATCJ_m.jpg

Cold Steel San Mai III Gurkha Kukri. It can stab, sort of.

Not sure how it would carry in a boat, but concealment is not up there in the requirements I suppose.

Gaston

I agree if you can manage to give a big cat a good CHOP you just might survive.

Cats the likes of which OP is talking about can cover 30 feet in less than a second. Not that a knife would be much more effective but at least the knife gives you a chance, whereas if you bear-mace a leopard at point-blank range it's exceeding likely that you'll get a faceful of the stuff as well.

Yea I'm not making myself a spicy snack for any critter

Buffalo bore 44 mag :)

Edit if I'm lucky enough to get a shot ;)

Check out UDAP.COM testimonials there are many stories about this product being used how many aggressive animals including male female tigers mountain lions and others apparently it works pretty darn good on him they're no longer interested in you and these types of animals usually hunt and attack from downwind which would not make the spray a problem for you but it doesn't hurt to have a good knife too!

But remember a knife is up-close-and-personal and when you get up close and personal with that kind of an animal the odds are you're going to be a tasty snack anyway, like a grizzly bear or most bears their physiology is made for action they don't die easy. They can even continue to attack and injure or kill you aggressively even after being shot in the heart with a high-powered rifle in the heart turning it to powder a grizzly bear can still mall and attacked and chew on you for 3 more minutes because their blood is still highly oxygenated they don't even know they're dead. Just saying the most prudent course of action would be to not allow them to get that close in the first place and that's what the pepper spray will do for you it's very quick to deploy and you only need a short blasts do the job I carry a 16 ounce cans in a holster it comes out quicker than a knife and does the job. Two or three lines of defense is always better than one it's good to have options that's about all I have to say on it if you want the best bet to be safe get some good pepper spray and. Carry it always in the wild and follow the instructions for proper UAE!! 4 million + Scoville units of heat will deter anything on this planet including humans which are the most dangerous animal of all!

Sorry, but I just feel compelled to mention this as a possible added bonus many types of animals when injured such as with a knife or a gun will actually stalk that person. It is also been testified to by many People for Animals of various types that once you have deployed the spray on them it creates such an immediately distressful, painful and traumatizing event for them ( stripping them of all their senses and Natural Instincts for a Time), that they associate that experience with your scent and will no longer even come around you. Now I know that tigers have large domains I don't know how many are in your area of operation but it's possible that if you actually have sprayed at one time or another most of those animals that you will actually decrease your level of potential Danger because if tigers are the same way they will not even come around you anymore which ideally is what you want. Side note for anyone concerned about harming a creature, the spray does no permanent damage as a matter of fact it eventually wears off and the creature regains his senses after about 20 to 45 minutes but by then WISELY you should no longer be in that area but like I previously said they may no longer be interested in you anyway, As you will have become their PARIAH!! And what if there's more than one tiger looking to lunch on you you might as well throw your knife away that's how much good it would do. A 1 pound can of spray will give you 18 to 20 one-second bursts so you have plenty for future uses or on multiple animals a 9 ounce can get you about 12 one-second bursts and the way the holsters are designed, for your hip or for your chest this can be deployed by simply pushing the button without ever removing it from The holster so it's very fast deployment. But it is imperative that you read the instructions first and burn that first one second shot of spray in a test down wind of course just so you'll be comfortable with this operation and always aim for the face or the head and even though the fog will envelop them up to 30 feet the closer they are the more concentrated spray they get and so it just makes their problem worse of course I wouldn't let them get very close I know they're very fast creatures that's why the spray was developed to affect them at such a distance grizzly bears run at 35 miles an hour and can cover a space of 50 yards within 3 seconds that's why bear spray was developed the way it is but the spray stops them within 1 foot. they stop and turn and run from that speed the spray causes them to stop within a foot of travel. In this country grizzly bears are accurately known to be literally" Godless killing machines". Maybe you have a similar term for your tigers. So arm yourself appropriately and be confident learn to use your weapons of Defense and try not to smell like fear because THE SMELL OF FEAR drives predatory animals crazy!! And that's a well-known fact. Also, it's better to go into that kind of environment with at least two people you and someone else who also has spray and has learned how to use it in case one of you were blindsided the other could still defend you I would choose a little spray on my face over my face in a tiger's mouth any day effects of the Tiger's mouth is permanent effects of the spray is temporary!! I've said all this just to help you my friend give you your best chances I hope it does help.

. The Poster lives somewhere in India. Very restrictive gunlaws.
Big cats roam around, leopards sometimes live in cities, or walk by night through villages, snatching dogs kitties, little kids and whatever.
The leopard of Rudraprayagh killed and ate over 400 people until bested by Jim Corbett.
So yes, I can see why the man wants a knife that possibly can safe his life if he has time to stab the animal.
It has been done a surprising number of times, not even counting encounters that never get reported in the far rural inaccessible areas.

I've read they don't allow citizens to carry anything larger than a .32. I don't even feel like I have the stopping power to stop a human attacker without my .45ACP on my hip.

Regarding knives, I have to wonder if OP could manage to obtain a Cold Steel Hold Out I. I saw one tonight for the first time. That thing is massive! Might actually consider taking on an oncoming leopard with one of those beasts.

I agree ^^^. A big "chop" to the head or neck would be the best option but you need space to maneuver and more time to react than you'd probably have

It's one of the few folders I'd recommend carrying for large cat-animal defense

CAM01662_zpsekhq4nuc.jpg

Long, slim, grippy, high strength lock, easy deployment, can slash and stab

CAM01679_zpsh4fqepjs.jpg

I believe six or seven accurate strikes with this blade would be enough to deter or kill most big cats in a reasonable amount of time

20160211_163005_zpsl75r1xdp.jpg

In any case, expect to be severely injured and bleed a lot if you get within this beast's claws and teeth, and dying most likely

20160225_170546_zpshbr184ox.jpg

But, if knives are only option available, I'd pick this folder over any other

124124_zps5trgkaev.jpg

Sama would apply for defending against two legged predators
