Skipping the yellow card and bringing out the hammer sounds better to me.

Good day all, I'll now leave this conversation.

Hey, no problem buddy! We've been trying to figure out whether you were admiring from afar, or one in hand.

I've stayed away because the price does seem relatively high compared to what you can get other places, and the reports of failing tangs makes me leery, as they specifically describe the tang as "super strong".

I saw that you have an HI chiruwa ang khola. Nice knife eh? Why not ask Yangdu what the cost would be for a Nepalese rendition of the dundee bowie? I'd be happy to help coordinate, and would probably be in for one myself.

I can tell you, I'd trust them to get it right.

Zero

Zero Himalayan Imports and Yangdu does excellent job with their products and sure they would not stay shy to make similar blade out of 5160 spring steel.Would love to see that one...20inch CAK is a crazy blade, that's right.

Here is one video - the knives that are worth every penny and look similar to The Outback when it comes to typical bowie shape blades: link removed

OP,
Do you own any of the knives you have spoken about in this entire thread? Or any period?

It seems you are listening to the capitalistic misinformation you were complaining about early from watch your knife videos and judging by whom is on the cover of the knife rags!

Might want to remove those links as I have done in your quotes. It is against the rules to post links to non-paying dealers. Unlike DUK we have rules and standards to follow here.

Not that I was Ever contemplating the purchase of one of these knives but if I was, You (Seriousbladeno1) have caused me to have a significant sense of weariness regarding this company.

You have mentioned their obvious high quality knives, how great they are, how durable they are, and how well they perform. Yet, all of this information has been gleaned from a few reviews and photos and ZERO in hand experience...

If you wanted to know why everyone thinks you have some tie to the company and are amped up/skeptical over this thread and knife company, this is why...

No thank you. I will continue to spend my hard earned dollars on brands that I feel are as honest and open enough to instill comfort with my supporting them.

Good luck with your new knife, if you choose to buy one. If (when) it breaks, please let us know so the rest of us can know how their warrantee/customer service dept operates.

Perhaps I shouldn't open thread on Bf about non-member knives and it's been waste of my precious time,as I was not interested to read tons of hate, patriotic and biased comments based on pure BS.Down Under Knives got a lot of great reviews from people who really made a purchase, this can not be denied... Comments are maybe 90% positive out there so as real experience with them.I am no shill,as you accused me because DUK is only one of my favourite brands.I fancy a lot of knives from many other makers, which unfortunately not all I can have hands on experience, as many of people can't have hands on experience with every single knife they may be fans of....I am done with this thread,if any positive and finally relevant comments comes in future, I will appreciate to see here some eye candy for me.Otherwise I couldn't care less about other silly BS that you close minded people are posting here.

Bye then.

You came looking for people to agree with you. You got opinions instead. Its how forums work.

Enjoy your knife. If you ever get one.

I'm still trying to understand how someone can have an all time favorite brand, and one that you are willing to go to the mat to defend......without ever actually owning any of their products. Talk about wasted time. If this thread didn't have so much comedic value, it would have just been 15 minutes that I'll never get back.

But will admit, it was fun to watch our new friend squirm trying to find ways to spin his already failed logic stream.

It's called trolling for attention. I think we need to stop wasting everybody's time with this nonsense.
