I Love Satin Jacks.

Nice sets Eric and Jaxx. I have a couple camo SJs but I really need to get a satin!

P easy. I held your satin Jack at Easton too. I think yours was about 1/4" thick which I really like, the non straight handle ones are only made 3/16" thick, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't have one yet, but I loved one after I held yours. :)

Nope mine is not one of the 1/4 ones. I guess it is 3/16, but it seems a lil thicker than that.

I would love to get a nice 1/4 bruiser Satin Jack.

I must admit...love 'em too. ;) Nice collection shot ya posted, Eric! That HOG has a bunch for sure. This is turning into a sweet SJ appreciation thread!

I can only boast 4, but I'm very thankful for these few that I did manage to get my hooves on...

4 beauties!!

Now I have another person on the list of people to bug for a Desert SJ. ;);););):p

Sexiest knife there is.

A stripped, skinny user like yours would be perfect. I'll take it off your hands, since you would rather have the fatty version.

Man, the saber grind on that last one is really low. Is that some thINFI???

Those low saber grind variants are the ones that have been leaking out of the Shop for shows this past year. I don't think they are skinny, and I don't like the looks of them. A scandi grind only work if the knife is really thin, 1/8" or less.

I'd like to score one of them anyway - seems like a perfect candidate for a DIY full convex zero edge

Yeah, um, about that. I love mine, It can't get much uglier (beautiful to me), so I don't have to worry about it.

3/16 is PLENTY of thickness. I carry it every day almost. :o

The only thing I really would like to do is just somehow roughen up the handles, they have a lot of darkness and shine to them from all the handling.

You can't really make out the beautiful rope cut patterns anymore.

I wish some Satin Jacks made it to Easton. :(

I wasn't sold on the design until I saw some of those full height grinds.

Mmmm, tasty!

...To each his own, I guess. Mine is as skinny as SJ's go, AFAIK... Definitely the thinnest of my 4 by far. It's a hair under 3/16" thick, hollow ground, and has a great factory edge as well.

Those SJ'S are so Cooollll, so many different styles of handles and blades. Really nice fellows thanks for the photo's. :)

To each his own, indeed. Enjoy yours.
