I wanted to get a knife for my son's birthday this Saturday. I decided on a Benchmade 720. Found a good price, tried to call for 2 days, no answer (and it wasn't who you think). In defense of this particular dealer I didn't leave a message because I didn't want to take the call at work. I finally e-mailed, but they were out of stock.
Called another recently discussed dealer. Quick to answer the phone, polite, but almost $15 higher than the first guy. Now I'm getting worried that I wouldn't find one in time. So...
Called Skylands at 8:30 EST. Answered immediately, knife in stock, only $2.50 more than the first guy and he'll have it here by Friday. I's not the first time they've done me right. Should have just checked there first.
