Have Been Thinking About Collecting Only Spyderco.
At Least Until I Can Afford A More High End Knife Like A Sebenza Or Something.

I Really Love My Spyderco Knives, And They Hands Down Get The Most Pocket Time.. If Fact, They Get The Only Pocket Time.

So I'm Thinking About Just Letting The Few I Have That Aren't Spyderco/Byrd Knives Go.

I've Looked At Other Knives, Handled Other Knives, Used Other Knives, But I Always Come Back To Spyderco.

So I Think My Others May Go. Call Me A Knife Snob For Only Falling In Love With One Brand, But I Can't Help It!

Anyone Else Collect Only Spydies Or Want To?

If Anyone Wants To Know My List So Far:
Spyderco Para 2 Camo/Satin
Spyderco Manix 2 All Black
Spyderco Delica 4 Brown FFG
Spyderco UKPK Maroon FRN Drop Point
Spyderco Resilience
Spyderco Tenacious
Spyderco Grasshopper
Byrd Meadowlark 2 FRN

Coming In:
Spyderco Para 2 Black/Satin
Spyderco Persistence
Byrd Cara Cara
Byrd Tern

And Then In A Few Weeks:
Spyderco Chokwe

So This Is Great. I Really Think These Should Be The Center Of My Collection, Along With Some SAK's Lol.

I Realize That Variety Is A Good Thing.
And Having A Variety Is Great.
But There Is So Much Variety In Spydercos Designs That I Don't Get Bored, And I Do Have Variety In Materials, Steels, Styles, Shapes, Etc.

And I Think I'll Always Have One Balisong.
If I Can Make That A Spyderco Balisong One Day... Even Better. =]

I have been collecting Spyderco for a number of years now and they outnumber my other brands for the most part. I am a sucker for Emersons as well, but this year I am going to concentrate on the Spydies that I like.

I just picked up a grey handled Lum Tanto, that is my EDC. I am loving it!

Yeah, I think I'm definitely going to try and stick to the spydies, I just love them and never use or carry anything else and don't like things just lying around.

I doubt that there is a better value for the money out there (OK, other than my Buck 110s). I find that I select certain Spyderco knives for specific conditions. Camping, it is my CF S90V Military; dress, it is usually a Volpe or a stainless Police and tough jobs belong to my CPM-M4 Gayle Bradley. Around the house, the sky is the limit. ;)

I have pretty much decided Spyderco only for my folders. Fixed blades though I have chosen ESEE. To the OP, nice variety of spydies. I would recommend adding one of the sage series to yOur list as well as the Gayle Bradley ( best bang for your buck spydie out there) :D

I'm hooked on having a thumb hole for all my folders. Not many makers have a thumb hole and a better lock than a liner lock. With this criteria, Spyderco usually wins out hands down.

I Know What You Mean About Having Different Ones For Different Uses And Situations.
I Think Spyderco Are Just The Best Folders I've Ever Owned Personally.
I've Never Owned Anything Like A CRK Or Anything, But Out Of What I Have Own, Nothing Beats Spyderco.
I Do Want To Add A Sage And Possibly A GB As Well.

I am in the same boat. I have 15 so far with 2 pre-orders. I have bought nothing but Spydercos since I got the 20cp paramilitary 2. I do however want to check out other knives like the CRK and the ZT0560.

I think its a fine idea to collect only Spydies, or predominately Spydies. Spyderco is far and away my favorite, so I get it.

There is a guy at candlepowerforums who collects only police-issued flashlights from the '70s and early '80s. Sounds crazy, but its an awesome collection, and way more interesting than just having a giant pile of random lights. Same principle can apply to sharp things.

When it comes to collecting (and using), narrowing your focus can be a good thing. These are just my users. I also have a big pile of virginous Spydies to hoard.

+1
This is what I have predominately Spydercos. Currently out of my 80+ knives I have two non-Spydercos. I had in the past few Kershaws, Mcusta, one Emerson, few BMs. All of them gone. I hate studs on most of them. I didn't like ergos on some others. Griptilian had too thick edge to my liking, but had nice ergos. I still looking at other brands one in a while, but in general I have no money left after I buy all Spyderco, which I really want. It doesn't look like this years will be any different, so many nice knives were shown in Amsterdam this year. The only couple things I wish for Spyderco to produces more custom collaborations in house and some G10 knives have finish other than peel-ply. It is sad to see Starmate go to Japan (possibly Lil T2 as well) and almost all new custom collaborations go to Taiwan. This is not like I have a big problem, just some preferences.

I Do Believe This Is What I'm Going To Do.
And Currently I Have 8 Of The Spyderco Family, 4 Coming From Trades, And I'm Going To Get Myself A Chokwe In A Few Weeks. I Was Going To Get The Military, But Decided The Chokwe Is Definitely Different, And Appeals So Much, Why Pass On The Chance?
I've Looked At Getting ZT Knives, And Tons Of Other Brands... But The Thing Is.. I Always Come Back To Spyderco.
So I Decided Not To Force Myself Into Getting Other Knives, But Just Go With What I Like And Want And Be Happy Being Surrounded By Spyders Lol.

Aw....After reading the title, I was hoping someone had tattooed the Spyderco logo onto their forehead or something. :(

Lol. Does The Fact That I Plan To Tattoo The Spyderco Spyder On The Back Of My Neck Help Any?

I Plan To Probably Get The Little Spyder In Either Just Black, Or In Blue, Or Quite Possibly Rainbow On The Back Of My Neck.

It's Not The Forehead, But It's As Close To It As I'm Going To Get Lol.

Oh, nice! That definitely helps. That actually sounds like a pretty cool tattoo.

I've owned Benchmade's, Cold Steel's, and Kershaw's, but most of my folders are Spyderco's. They are my favorite.

Spyderco fans seem to be extremely loyal, about as loyal as any of the fan groups on these forums.

Let me make a suggestion, whatever you do don't ever buy a Benchmade.

Like Roman, I pretty much collect only Spyderco's. I've had other brands but they never replaced my Spydies for EDC. Little by little, I've sold them off. Now, Spyderco makes so many great models that all of my allotted income for knives is spent on Sal and Co.'s wares. I'm not complaining one bit. :D
