The saw blade on an SAK is a good saw blade. I've used one a few times. What’s the problem with it? Isn’t that what the saw blade is for?
Maybe the real joke is the saw blade itself!
Exactly. It is obviously a posed photo by someone who hasn't used it before. He should have his knee on it, or angled up from the ground with one foot against it, and cutting right up close to his left hand. Otherwise it is going to move all over the place and be a very tedious job. Timber that size, depending on what state it is in, can be a little tough to just snap so making a cut part way through might be all that is needed. But I don't think it is way off - those saw blades cut like blazes through wood, plastic etc, and one of the reasons I have owned and used SAKs with them for decades. Just carried my older model Hunter today as it happens.
Agreed, his technique and form are all wrong. The saw blade on an SAK is a good saw blade. I've used one a few times.
Personally, I find fault with his positioning of the wood on the rock. He's going to ding the saw on that rock by the time he gets done.
