I Need a Fixed Blade. Help Me Out.

GET A DOZIER!!!

A Pro Guide would be perfect, and if you order directly from him, I bet he'd make it 4.5" rather than 4.75" if that .25" is a big deal. The Doziers are simply the best people I've dealt with so getting exactly what you want is probably not a problem. The only problem I've encountered since buying my first Dozier, is wanting to own them all.
Nothing cuts like a Dozier. Except my razor wit.

email me. I will be ordering steel shortly. My prices are fairly low, but I cannot promise a delivery date as I will be at college shortly. You can view some of my latest stuff in the Gallery. Thanks.

Above all else the performance is what you will be amazed with if you choose a Dozier. No other knife in this price range will perform better than a blade from Bob. D2 is an excellent choice for a Camp Knife, more rust resis than 1095 and holds and edge better than most other steels. Do yourself a favor, do some research on Bob's site and I'm sure you will find something you'll love. You can order from BladeArt as they have an excellent selection in stock.

1. As far as I can find (or not find), Bob Dozier does not make a fixed blade knife with a blade length between 4 and 4 1/2 inches.

Uh, the group is trying to help you out, buzzbait.

Dozier does make to custom lengths, if you ask him to. You'll just have to wait a couple months. And pay an extra $20 or something trivial for a lightly customized piece.

Pick one of his designs you like, and ask him to make it longer, or shorter in the case of the Pro Guide's knife (which is 4-3/4"). Also, add another $20, and he'll do the Pro Guide in say drop point instead of clip.

Alternatively, if you stick within the general parameters of his current semi-production line (micarta, wood, hollow ground, full tang and not tapered, guard from the D2 cutout and not from a separate piece), Dozier will build to a sketch of your own design without charging too much more than his regular line (which is $135 to $170).

Friendly reminder though, Dozier's stuff is hollow ground, and is designed for cutting, slicing, push cutting, etc. In this length (4" to 4.5"), not for anything past light-medium chopping into known materials (no nails), no prying, etc.

Also, the Fallkniven F1 is a 4" drop point in VG-10, and if you surf around, you can find one in micarta rather than the rubber/kraton-ish stuff they use (thermo-run elastomer) on lower priced models.

The S1 is 5" but only in elastomer.

HI, i would try looking at A sog seal 2000, a Newt livesay, Hkr or a stryder, thease knives are very good, they are heat treated very well, and come pretty dang sharp out of the box. and you can usally find the sog 2000 and the hkr for under 150. the styrder i am going to say is a little bit more exspensive. just go to there web sites and look around i am sure you can find what you are looking for

Absolutley not. We (TOPs or R.A.T.) are not offering ANY Laser Strike for sale without the proper heat treat. The only knives without the proper heat treat are the serial numbers we have mentioned. All others will be with the hardened back strap.
