  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Don't use a chop saw to cut brass!!!!!!!!!!! Unless it's equipped with a metal cutting blade like on the Porter Cable chop saw.

Abrasive wheel chop saws are not meant to cut alloys like brass, the wheel will load up with material, bind, and BLOW ALL OVER YOUR SHOP!!!

I know people this has happened to.

Os, there's a reason that saw won't cut brass. Stick with steel and you might not feel like you got hosed ;)

But seriously, Still looking for info on 2" x 42" belts for Craftsman machine. This is becoming a time critical issue, as Sears is having a sale from 7:00 AM to noon this Saturday and if I'm going to buy this machine, I'd like the discount if i can get it. Also, anyone have any opinions on the Craftsman 6" x 48" 1.5 HP machine with teh 9" disc? Is the wider belt not as useful as the 2" width? I seem to recall that the HardCore that Tom Mayo likes so much uses the wider belt.

Opinions???

But their website lists only their current specials (none in this size)!. It's almost as un-interactive as the website (only one) I have built for our company (www.lpsales.net). I'm no better webmaster than whoever runs their site and probably am worse, but I can't find any online product listings besides the specials.

If you have a direct URL, please post it.
