My normal carry knife is a Benchmade contego and I love everything about it. Unfortunately the citys near me have laws limiting me to a 3.5 inch blade and automatics are illigal. Heres what I need from the knife
As close to a 3.5 inch blade as possible nothing longer
Glass breaker
G10 handles
I'd like a lock similar to an axis lock but framelock is preferable to liner lock
Needs to be solid enough and grippy enough for me to use at a welding shop
Budget is about $250
Also has to carry some what discreetly
Thanks in Advance
Edited to add; This knife also needs to be usable for defensive purposes.

Search this one.
DPx Gear HEST/F Folder Black G10 Tumbled Gray Niolox
I'm not sure if the dealer that is first on the search results is a dealer here so I didn't post the link.

You need a Benchmade full size Stryker with the carbide tip from a Triage added to the back. OR, a Stryker blade dropped into a Triage knife. That might be easier.

How do you add the tip?

It is my understanding that the Triage and the Stryker are basically the same knife platform.

The carbide tip is part of the back spacer. Call Benchmade and ask if they would be willing to add a carbide tip to a full size Stryker. If they can't, just look for a beat up Triage on ebay and swap it out. Personally, I would buy a Stryker NOW and just carry it. It is everything you are looking for, except the window breaker. Get one soon because they stopped making them a few months ago. When they are gone, thats it. Shame too. One of the best knives BM has ever made.

As a retired medic, I can tell you that a good spring loaded center punch works better than any carbide tip on the back of a knife.

Thanks for the advice
I know a center punch is better but I already have too much stuff in my pants.

Does it have to be a Benchmade? A very strong, useful 3.5 inch blade for work and defense is the Cold Steel American Lawman. No glass breaker but maybe sturdy enough to break glass in a pinch. Great price for what you get.

I understand. Realistically, how often will you use it? Are you LE, Fire or EMS?
No hence why I want it on my knife rather then carrying a separate one. I'm a civy but I believe in being prepared. I also carry a small med kit.

It doesn't have to be a Benchmade but it can't be lockback and I'm set on the glass breaker.

SOG Escape is kinda close...

3.4 inch blade is about as close to a 3.5 inch blade as you can get without going over.

Has an anodized aluminum handle which should stand up to your petroleum products.

Has a glass breaker and a seat belt cutter, along with a wire stripper.

Spearpoint blade checks your "pointy" requirement.

Negatives? Not the best steel, some folk don't cotton to Chinese manufacture, and you don't seem to like lockback.

Close I have a sog zoom and it's great metal handles are a no go. They don't deteriorate but they don't have enough grip.

You and I think much alike.

Any reason you can't put a center punch in the med kit or is it just a matter of preference?

The med kit barely fits in my jeans already and I'm used to having it on my knife already.

Sabre cat has a great point about the Striker and 915 being the same knife. The handle is exactly the same. You'd want to do some research to make sure it would actually fit (either the blade or glass breaker). The glass breaker might not fit because the back spacer it is on also as a rescue hook (a really nice one BTW, which given you wanting to be prepared is a great thing to also have). I'd get mine and snap a picture but it is in the car right now. This does seem like the road you should look at going down. The triage/stryker fits all your criteria. The steel is very good too. Very corrosion resistant. I've used it as a water knife just fine.

Either blade Swap, back spacer swap (sell the one you don't keep), or you could look at having the tip reprofiled. A member here did it to his. You might try contacting him:

I modified my blade today, for me, I like it a lot better with a real point, if I were an EMT I'd probably have kept the rounded nose of a tip but this suits me far better, a pain to do mind you! but a great deal better...
