I need help finding a knife for the citys

Sabre cat has a great point about the Striker and 915 being the same knife. The handle is exactly the same. You'd want to do some research to make sure it would actually fit (either the blade or glass breaker). The glass breaker might not fit because the back spacer it is on also as a rescue hook (a really nice one BTW, which given you wanting to be prepared is a great thing to also have). I'd get mine and snap a picture but it is in the car right now. This does seem like the road you should look at going down. The triage/stryker fits all your criteria. The steel is very good too. Very corrosion resistant. I've used it as a water knife just fine.

Either blade Swap, back spacer swap (sell the one you don't keep), or you could look at having the tip reprofiled. A member here did it to his. You might try contacting him:

Hey, did not think about selling the excess knife. A Stryker with a Triage blade would be kind of neat. If you end up with that for sale, let me know.

Dun dun!

Bullseye.

My normal carry knife is a Benchmade contego and I love everything about it. Unfortunately the citys near me have laws limiting me to a 3.5 inch blade and automatics are illigal. Heres what I need from the knife
As close to a 3.5 inch blade as possible nothing longer
Glass breaker
G10 handles
I'd like a lock similar to an axis lock but framelock is preferable to liner lock
Needs to be solid enough and grippy enough for me to use at a welding shop
Budget is about $250
Also has to carry some what discreetly
Thanks in Advance
Edited to add; This knife also needs to be usable for defensive purposes.

Best advice, just don't worry about it, and continue to use what you already have. When's the last time the man asked to measure your knife blade??

Got no plans of doing it myself. Sold my striker long ago. The triage is a backup in the car knife right now.

I'd recommend a Kershaw Glassbreaker Blur. Trac-tec is grippy enough that oils won't hinder your traction at all.

Not you, Craytab, the OP.

If the Triage is a back up car knife, what is the main knife for the auto?

Can't carry autos up here in WA state, Sabre... you'll have to recommend me a different main knife. ;)

That Kershaw Blur with the glassbreaker looks to fit the bill though. Didn't realize there was such a thing.

The one in my pocket or the fixed I carry. Also have a SOG Seal Team in the go bag and a Spec Elite as a back up to the back up :D

Please read my post again. I was asking Craytab about the knife for in his "auto"mobile.

Not really a big fan of automatic knives. I can't picture myself recommending any automatic knife, ever.

Well, maybe to someone with only one arm or some other type of disability.

I think he was joking ;)

Yeah, I was just funnin' around for a second. Thanks for catching the "winkie smilie" there, Cray.

No harm no foul by Sabre. He's a good egg.

LOL. That whole thing went over my head at about 30,000 feet. Not the first time I was clueless, either. Ask my wife.

I wish more makers added glass breakers. Takes no room and if ever needed it's there. Litterly can be life saving. I know it's out of your budget and size but the Umnumzaan is a good one. Couple of guys at work have the Hest and I see how tough it is. We're also welders and seen it used to chip slag and anything else in a weld shop And beyond.

Three recommendations (thanks to others who have referred to some of these too):

DPx HEST 2.0 (3.25", G10, glassbreaker, $175):
