I hate to bring this here, but I am not sure what else to do.
I made a trade with a memeber here that seems to be in great standing with the forum. He has been a member for a good while. I am not sure if maybe the knife he shipped to me got lost or what has happened.
Here is the whole story. Friday the 11th I made a trade deal with another member. I was on my way out of town as we were closing the deal. We played email tag over the late morning and into the early afternoon. After those emails we worked out a trade that both of us agreed on.The other member gave me his address so I made out a shipping lable. I was just waiting on the go ahead from the other member when I emailed him letting him know I was about to leave. Shorltly after he asked another question about the knife I was sending him. I sent him a link to the knife's mnf website. I told him I was leaving and I would check my email that night when I got where I was going. I also gave him my address and said I would get the package in the mail the next day.
He emailed me the same day (Friday) letting me know that is that he did want the knife and he would get his knife in the mail as well the next day. I went to the local post office in the area I was visiting and learned they closed out noon. I was unable to get the package out Sat. When I got home I email the other member (Mon. morning) and informed him the package would be shipped out that Morning and I would email him with the Delivery Confirmation number. After shipping I emailed him again with the DC#. Two days go by with no reply. I looked in his BF profile and seen he had been online since I sent the emails. I Email him again on Wed. just checking in again. The knife I sent to him was delivered the 17th. I still had no reply and that was the last day I noticed him on the blade forums.
I have not gotten the knife he was shipping nor any reply from him since Friday, the 11th.
This has never happed to me before and I wanted some of the other member's advise. At this time I do not wish to give out the other member's name.
Thanks,
John
