If I was to buy a dedicated "chopper" knife; more chop then my Magnum Camp (not a true chopper by any means, but just a big handy hearty knife), but still more knife then my $20 Tramontina, then the KaBar Combat Bowie or Moses, ESEE junglas, and the BRK Bravo 2 or 3 or the 1909, would probably all be at the top of my list today all things, (incl. finances), considered...

Best bang for the buck and if you can step up to sanmai then BOOM.Cold Steel Traimaster; it will do all you ask of it.It's been my go to (even though I have many choppers, quite a few more expensive) for around 25 years.

Nice collection.View attachment 1066576 The scrama is my Number one. Bk9 number two. Rd9(pre Ontario) third. It’s more like an rd7.6 now because I broke the tip off. I wish there was a .25 thick bk9....
