I only like CRK's now...

Hi AndreLinoge, I can understand how you feel regarding CRK prices. I felt the same way in the past.

However, I found that once I acquire items of absolute quality, especially items which I don't want to compromise on, I have no regrets about it. I personally believe CRK knives are an excellent value for the price: not a compromise at all to me. Many things I am ok with compromising on. Compromise seems to often be the order of the day, so often due to price reasons. But things like knives, personal protection items, EDC flashlights, tires for my car, etc... I will buy the best that I can reasonably afford.

When I use items that I know I have not compromised on, I know I have chosen quality and reliability over compromise. CRK knives make me feel exactly that way. The customer service experiences I've had with CRK makes me feel even more so.

Excellent post, this sums up my feelings on this as well. Buy once, cry once is a philosophy to live by for me. Whenever I use an article (be it tools, knives, guns, whatever) of inferior quality, I find that I am frustrated by the lack of performance or the horrible quality manufacturing or materials used. I like knowing my son and daughter will inherit my things and not be burdened by cheap junk that's hardly fit for a yard sale.

Consistency is one of, if not, the most important criteria when determining the quality of a particular product.Consistency of build quality is what CRK has done since the beginning of their journey.Great knives, great company to deal with.Cheers.

Also, if this forum is anything like BCUSA, I just got banned for my opinion, so...

Hey everyone has their likes and dislikes and opinions. You should give it a few weeks or months of pocket time though and then form an opinion. [emoji4]

I initially swore off other knives after buying my first two CRKs (large plain 21 and Large cf scale 21), i then bought an Umnumzaan, then a morning sun UG large 21, then a Large 21 Mammoth Bark inlay. I wound up selling off the last two, due to them not being practical to carry and use for me. I use all my knives at work so carrying a mammoth bark sebenza was just going to end in tradgedy lol.

Now im down to 5 knives total,
1- Large 21 Plain
1- Large 21 Plain Tanto (incoming)
1- Spyderco Military
and lastly 2 ZT 0452cf's, I absolutely LOVE the 0452's, so much so i bought a backup incase i loose my main one or destroy it, (Yes ive destroyed many quality knives at work).

I was not a fan of ZT at all, until i bought the 0452 on a whimb. While still not a flipper fan, the overall package to me is pretty much what my perfect Sebenza would be, minus the flipper and add the thumbstud. The 4.1" blade is GREAT, same s35vn steel but slightly higher RC hardness, still sharpens very easy and the weight is only 4.2oz which is phenominal. I also love the CF scale with NO liner beneath it.
To me the 0452cf is the ONLY other Sub $400 knife i have bought that truly compares to a Sebenza in build quality and finish and useability in a lightweight compact package.
Other than that, im still a CRK lover, but have learned what i like, and that is Plain Ti or Plain Ti with a carbon scale for weight savings.

And i have bought over 50 knives from CRK, Benchmade, Spyderco, ZT and a few other higher end to middle of the road 150$+ knives. The 0452cf is king, amoungst my small herd, yet i still dont like ZT as a whole nearly as much as i LOVE CRK. Lol end rant

Slowly but surely the other brands are less and less enticing. A CRK finds its way into my pocket almost all the time and if accompanied by a traditional slip joint I could surely not be happier.

Some pics to encourage rex :D
