I ordered again... I blame you all!

Great choice TF, I look forward to the Bow drill kits you will be making with that knife!

Oh Boy T - now you've gone on that BRK&T path. Good luck with the addiction buddy! I'm holding very precariously to a no more purchase rule, but its been almost three weeks since I've bought something. Okay, so it doesn't count that orders from prior to christmas are starting to stream in. Okay so it doesn't count that super generous people just sort of threw some blades my way. Well all that helps. God - now the passaround knives are going to start truck'n by.

Anyhow - I think you really really need a Kephart companion or one of those mighty fine little patch knives to go with your aurora. Go on, get one of these smaller blades and put on it a handle with splash. One of those ones with the emerald spacers - something like that. You know you want a fancy, dancy little EDC blade. Something to pick your nails with at the faculty club :) :)

Tony,

I have a bunch of bow drill kits made up. I may try to sell some on here.

KGD,

I have a feeling like I just smoked my first ciggarette! ;)

I need to get one of the kits to you.

Grampa,

If you are the one that gave me advice via PM. Thanks so much. And for your review. You pushed one step over the edge - since I had a good convexing strop anyway...

Good man!

Atticus. I ordered one with my blade. Thanks for the look out.

No problem. I got my Aurora for christmas and am absolutely in love with it. But when I started to plan a hike for February I realized I had a problem. It is such a good solution to the problem that I had to get it. The only problem is now I want a small Bark River to attach to my Aurora.

Heh - that is where I am sure I will be at. Atleast I got the handle material figured out. Sheesh - there are too many to choose from.

I like Ford's idea - you can have any color you want...

Talfuchre I was wandering have you handled a Bravo-1 or a Koster Bushcraft?

I'm wandering how the handle on this feels compared to either of those two. Big Mike mentioned it being geared towards larger hands so that pricked my ears up as I have found some knives to be a little short and slim handlewise for me.

Okay - looks like it will ship Wednesday - or Thursday.

Here is a pic of the knife I ordered.

Here is a closeup of the black liners I chose - I THINK that sets off the white and the steel well:

I hope to have it this week or early next.

definatly looking forward to pics. i got to handle an aurora at a knife shop a while ago and, although i am more of a strait spined person, thought that it was a great knife.

Thanks J and Barber,

Yeah - the spear point will take some getting used to - considering I am used to a straight spine. I think - on the Aurora - it is long enough that I will have enough straight spine to make me feel at home.

I've fallen for my Aurora.I reall love how it works.feels great to use even in the deep cold.(I dressed a rabbit in -22F with mine.Patina'd great).

Talfuchre,

That's a beautiful looking Aurora! I hope you love your's as much as I love mine!

Oh, you poor fellow... what have you done? Sure... it starts innocently enough... first one... then another...

The 'quest' won't stop with one - Mike's BRK&T fare is addictive - and rightly so - pure quality and a great value. The convex edge really is a delight.

Really, I hope you get it Saturday so you can enjoy it soon - congratulations!

Oh yeah, thanks for putting the Aurora out there -I don't have one of those. Maybe the IRS will take an IOU?
