Which router? I've got an earlier gen WRT110 Linksys Cisco number that is utter crap. Firmware downgrade required for even semi-decent operation, and that is sketchy at best.

old one is a buffla 2nd or 3rd tier dd-wrt modem. wasn't bad for an apt but apparently it got flaky or was just plain whacked. caused issues.

new one is the current generation apple airport extreme. works good. works very good.

I heard of the term "thundersleet" and thought it was ridiculous, and then it got here, and I'll be damned, it was accurate. On top of that, the frozen fog we had too, and even though I thought it was ridiculous as well (as did the missus) we saw it firsthand and again, it was an apt term. I don't think they are inventing new weather so much as mother nature is becoming more of a wretched c**t.

we had thundersleet the other week. dumped an inch or two of ice pellets, and that generates a lot of energy i guess. some of the loudest thunder i ever heard.

thundersnow...

thunderhail too

GSOM, the platen should be adjustable. I have a similar issue with mine though. I'll try james' frame twisting notion on mine too and see if it fixes things.
Thanks, I talked to the folks at Sears and they told me to bring it back. There's just way too much belt hanging off the tension wheel, and while not a "high end" grinder, it was expensive enough that I shouldn't have to apply my incredible metal bending strength to the frame to get the wheels in plane with one another. The platen is adjustable, but only in and out....that's how crooked the frame is :0. Feliz cumpleaños, crimson.

It's called a shack or shanty. Some folks go completely bonkers with 'em... generators, heaters, TV's, the whole nine yards. At the peak of the season you'll see hundreds of 'em on the lakes in WI and MN.
Interesting they are called ice shacks and shanties down your way. In Ontario they're referred to as ice huts.
Round heah, theah refeahed to as "bob-houses". Somewhere in these United States is a town that exists only in the winter on a frozen lake, and consists almost entirely of very fancy bob-houses. Might be in Minnesota; can't figure out the right query for google. They elect a mayor and town council. Wish I could find it.

That was just getting it started, once the fire settled down some I put bigger logs onto it. But yeah, I need to get some real wood, my mom got this "wood in a box" stuff which for one day is alright but I want to get some real wood stacked up.

I was just teasin,

But if i had a fireplace id want more than enough wood on hand. I love fire and knives... Both love wood... Full of win.

Happy Birthday, Crimson! Keep up the good work :)

Those darn Canadians... :D

Now thats 30 hits a piece or combined? :D

30 hits of what?!? Good grief man, if I did 30 hits of acid tonight, I might never come back... or worse yet, I might show up at the next Gathering wearing nothing but blue paint and a smile... no one wants that to happen, I assure you.

OK, is anyone else watching True Detective? This is perhaps the best series on TV at the moment and it will end next Sunday.

Yes! Ang and I enjoy it very much. I'm torn between looking forward to the denouement, and not wanting it to end. Regardless, we've saved the whole series so we can watch it again at our leisure.

BEECHWOOD logs burn bright and clear
If the logs are kept a year.

CHESTNUT’s only good, they say
If for long it’s laid away.

BIRCH and FIR logs burn too fast
Blaze up bright and do not last.

ELM wood burns like a church yard mold
Even the very flames are cold.

POPLAR gives a bitter smoke
Fills your eyes and makes you choke.

APPLE wood will scent your room
With an incense like perfume.

OAK and MAPLE if dry and old
Keep away the winter cold.

But ASH wood wet and ASH wood dry a
king shall warm his slippers by.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, fellas. Wife got me a Tuff Writer Precision Press (which I'm STOKED about), and a couple of my blades arrived back from Peters today (although, annoyingly enough, not the ones for Worldwood, which were the ones I most want to get back). WW, I'm gonna call Brad tomorrow and check on the status of those. I was hoping to have them to you by your birthday, but I think at this point I'll be lucky to get them back from HT myself by then.

No sweat at all bud, i know your doing what you can and i appreciate it greatly bud!!

Saturday the weather man tricked us out of our camping trip this weekend and we rescheduled it until April 11th because that was the soonest date we could re-reserve that specific cabin, but the weather turned out just fine...
