What is the 1 knife you own that you really like and don't care about what others think of it? Maybe it's got "inferior" blade steel, made by a lesser known manufacturer, or even held in low opinion by others on this forum.

For me it's the: Kershaw "Steven Seagal" folder.

AUS8 (not the "Best" steel)
Steven Seagal signed on the blade (yea that's cheesey)
Designed by Ken Onion (one of my favorites)
High polished blade (I like that)
Too heavy (pants still stay up)
StingRay leather on grip (Unique)
Hey it cuts (That's what it's supposed to do)

I own 2, both the serrated and plain blade / so there, don't care what you think. What knife do you own and the hell with everyone else. :p

my kershaw storm. alot of people here on the forums, seem to agree that its a good knife. it's mostly been my friends who would try my knife and complain about it for some reason. but most of my friends dont know much about knives anyway.

The kershaw echo . With just a few swipes on the sharpmaker , I cant believe how sharp that blade is . I havent really used it much as far as edc so im not sure about how long it will hold the edge . But anyways for the price especially , cool lil fixed blade . :)

My 5inch El Vaquero with AUS-8. The company gets most of the bad rep but this is still one of my favorites.

CRKT Partner & Kershaw Black Horse II.
Both work great for me & take a wicked edge.

For me, I think it would be the Kershaw Rescue Blur. When anyone criticizes my carrying it at the office, I just explain it's a "Rescue" tool that can be used to help others in an emergency situation. I show them the little carbide pointy glass breaker thingy. That seems to placate their criticism.

I think it's interesting that several people have mentioned "Kershaw" products.

I think Kershaw is very underrated. I love their products matter of fact I own two of them right now. I have always liked them. I also very much like the Timberline Wordan. I think for the most part Kershaw makes unique knives. I love the Storm II I own. Where can you get a $30 that is a framelock and has a Sandvic steel blade that is rated slightly higher than 440c. Their
serration on that knife are odd but work very efficiently better than others I have owned.Thanks.:D

My Beretta Busfield. It's put together as well as any Spyderco, and with the thin micarta handles and the clip removed, it's as thin and unobtrusive as an Al Mar in my dress slacks.

I'm real happy with the Storm II I just got and the S30V Leek I got before that. I already had a few Kershaws from the pre-Ken Onion era. :) I think Kershaw has always had a good reputation, but it can only go up in the rankings now that they've upgraded the steel on their more common knives. -- My old Talon is ATS-34!

I also like a lot of the Cold Steel knives, even if I'm supposed to sneer at Lynn Thompson. I think he's fun to watch, and I got 2 of the Vaquero Grande, 6-inchers, even if they are about as ugly a knife as I can stand.

I don't know if it's held in low esteem, but the knife that gets very little publicity and is a tremendously high quality knife - Lone Wolf Harsey T2.

That would be my CQC7B (with the "dreaded and useless" chisel grind),

or

my Schrade UH Senior Stockman- "Crappy 420HC (?) blades" and that "hideous" staglon. Just does its job- although it'll soon be replaced with a small custom.

I'd have to say my buck/889.
420hc steel = looked down upon by steel lovers
fails a spine whack = i don't whack the spine
buck = I like'em. others don't
knife is sex on a stick

almost forgot, my crkt- m16-13z {wal mart special}
aus4 steel= right next to wood according to steel guru's, seems to work well for a daily use, not surgical instrument knife. also for 19.95 can't beat it with a stick.
liner lock with lawks= supposed to have failures, i haven't
overall a pretty good price for the money
later, ahgar

My CRKT M18-02 is excellent as well. Haven't had a single issue with the lock, using LAWKS or not. Blade came nice and sharp and hasn't dulled at all really. Good ergos too. Fits me better than my Delica, despite the spydie being my preferred edc.

My CRKT Van Hoy Snap Lock. Not the best steel and the grip ergonomics are not great IMHO. However, it is great fun to play with and I can put a fantastic edge on it with my Sharpmaker.

mitch

Denigrated for its 420 steel and overlooked for its size, the Kershaw Chive is a great little knife.
Lone Wolf is a good cue as well: their Tighe Ti Tactical folder is rarely mentioned but quite excellent and very close to his custom Tighe Pan...

It doesn't matter what the cost, reputation, materials. If you the knife and the price, then good for you.

For me it has to be my Eriksson Mora. Not that Moras have a really bad rap that I have seen.... but mine is UGLY. The first knife I ever re-handled. I love it...
