I propose a new rule in the exchange section...

Should sellers be REQUIRED by the rules to post pictures of their items for sale?

I vote no because I do not know how to post pictures. I could however send a picture over the microsoft email system as I have gained some understanding on how to do this. Or I can simply send photos in the postal system.

It's high time you learned. You made it all the way onto a forum, you can buy stuff online, and navigate the various sites across the interwebz. ;)

I vote no because as long as the person I'm dealing with can email me some pics that's cool with me otherwise I won't bother with them anyways. Personally been having problems with Photobucket lately.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

We have enough rules. We do not need more.

If a seller doesn't post pics, or have the ability to send you one on request, you can decline to purchase and move on.

Pretty simple.

To the OP:
You say 'pictures' should be required

How many pictures would be required?
Will certain angles be required?
Do we have to show folding knives both opened and closed at each prescribed angle?
Will it be required that something like a ruler be pictured along with the knife to give scale?
Do you envision a minimum pixel H x W requirement? Thumbnails unacceptable?
What is the minimum % of the photo the knife has to occupy?
What is the minimum resolution camera we can use?
Will "photoshopping" of any kind be allowed? (white balance correction for example)
Who will decide if a picture is out of focus? (I'm assuming that matters)

Just curious.

i vote "yes". No pict. is hoax :)

Am I the only one who has tried to post photos and failed. The rules of the forum limit the size of the photo so I turned three of my digital cameras to their lowest resolution to take photos with not too many pixels. After an hour I gave up and listed a "for sale" item anyway. No, it hasn't sold and probably wont. I managed to build my own website but I cannot get a photo posted on the forums.

If it's new, unused, stock photos are fine with me. But no pics-I usually won't buy. I think it is the seller's choice.

No pics is better than "The knife is BRAND NEW-Only carried for a week!" or the guys that send Emails and don't include their user name.
